As promised, here's a video for Chevron Chic for Sentro/Santro/Jamit 48 users. Phew, can I have a rest now? Thanks to everyone who has made a donation to an animal charity in lieu of a pattern price, I'm so grateful x
You’re a lovely person Caz! I love your videos and even more I love the idea of you asking people to donate to charity in lieu of paying for your time! ❤
Your patterns are beautiful, and your explanation of the process is easy to understand. I'm a long time knitter, but just got a Sentro 2 weeks ago. I didn't know that different stitch patterns were possible! You've inspired me to try new stitch patterns on my machine. Thank you so very very much for taking the time to develop your patterns, and for sharing them so that we too can create beautiful pieces to wear and share! Very grateful for your your time and efforts!
Hi Rose thanks for the lovely comment it was so nice to read. I'm glad I've inspired you to give my patterns a try, let me know how you get on. Happy knitting Caz
OMG! I just received my machine today and wondered what I could do ( other than plain hats and blankets for the dog rescue kennels) now I can see wonderful patterns. Thank you so much. 😘
Hi Jo, welcome to circular knitting. Glad to have you here and even happier you can make use of my patterns and help the dogs too, warms my heart. All the best and happy knitting Caz
Thank you so much for your patterns, I have learned so much from you in just a few weeks. I created a written pattern by row/pin number but don't know how to add it here. Happy to send you the file to share, not sure how to do so on here...
That's very kind Tracy, I'm planning on realeasing written patterns eventually with proceeds to animal charities, so if you can keep the written version for your own use I'd be very grateful. I'm hoping people will donate a little something if they come and watch the video, and that's what keeps me making videos and sharing, it's all about the animals for me. Many many thanks though I really do appreciate your hard work. All the very best Caz x
Hi there thank you so much for sharing the pattern. I was wondering if could show how you finish the hat without it curling cause mine tend to curl at the bottom. Please help and thanks again 🙏
That’s awesome , love that there are more patterns then the normal on, it does get boring, you explain so well, but was wondering is it possible u can have a written pattern to download or a link where we can download it. That would be great . ❤❤
Love this pattern. Thanks for this! Wondering if you have instructions to do this on a panel instead of tube? This pattern could be a beautiful jumper.
Thank you Sue. I use the suction cups that came with the machine, and my really heavy marble cutting board. Works a treat and makes such a difference. I wet the suction cups and then push down with light pressue to get them to stick. Hope this helps. All the best Caz
How much wool do you use for this pattern? I love that you share these videos, and that you ask for donations to be to animal charities. You're a good person. 👍
Thank you Ultred, excellent question and one I wish I knew the answer to. I don't actually keep track of yardage whilst I'm testing ideas out. I'll have a think on it see what I can guesstimate 😀
So glad I found you! I have a 46 pin Addi and beginning to get bored just doing plain hats. Love your patterns and your explanations! Great job of teaching! Will this pattern work on the Addi 46 pin machine?
I bought a used Sentro 48 and received it yesterday after it was thrown against my door by the delivery company. (grrr!) I had hoped that it would be OK even though the tension attachment was broken in 4 pieces. So I have been playing with it. The most rows I have knitted is 21 rows...in 8 hours! I keep dropping stitches and restarting. I've been trying to save the stitches but it's just been easier to rip it all out and to start over! So my question is: Do you think it is me or the machine causing the problem? It cranks real hard...even with no yarn threaded on it. And I haven't forced it at all! I have gone excruciatingly slow and tried to watch each stitch. I am now a pro at casting on! But I am so disappointed I could cry!
Oh how awful. I'm sad to say that if it is cranking that stiffly with no yarn it doesn't sound as if it's working as it should. The handle should turn very easily without yarn on it. So sorry to hear this.
Thank you for listening to me blub about it! I went and found a Facebook group that sugested a couple of RU-vid videos. There is one titled "Make that yarn work in your machine" that was very helpful. By end of evening I was just 45 rows away from a finished beanie! It appears I was applying too much tension on the yarn. And then the video suggested pushing the yarn down on each peg to make certain that the yarn was seated properly before the needle picked up the next bit of yarn. My husband found an old metal nail file with a rounded tip for me and now I use that to push each stich into place as it slips down the needle and takes up more yarn! (That man doesn't know how great he is!) Sharing this for the next person who is about to give up on this machine! Never give up! Never give in! (And ask for help!) THANKS SO MUCH AGAIN FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT! ☺
I am working on the pattern for the 40 pins. This won't work for 40 pins. Hit the bell icon and you'll be notified when that video is ready. All the best Caz
I wonder if it wouldn’t be faster to hand knit this pattern, but it’s cool that you can do patterns and you are super good at explaining what you do. Are you a teacher? Thank you!
Thank you glad you like the pattern. I don't hand knit myself hence using the machines. An experienced knitter could probably knit it very fast. I'm not a teacher but I do love teaching 😀 and sharing what I know. All the best Caz
