Thank you for sharing this, I just made my first keychain but I used worsted weight (#4) cotton instead. It came out really cute. I am going to experiment with different yarns and colours..... This is so fun!!!!! (I just need to buy the brush because I love the fluffy tassel). 😀
Well done, great teaching! I'm excited to try this. Do you think it'd work with thicker acrylic yarn as well? i.e., if I were to be really careful not to knot it too tight each time?
Ahhhh omg I’m so sorry it took me this long to reply! I’ve been neglecting this channel for a few months (work be crazy y’all). Yes you can definitely use yarn, but the chevron pattern may just be a little smaller in size at the end depending on the thickness of the yarn! also the end won’t fluff out like macrame cord, but that is an option totally up to you! I hope yours turned out good! I’ve used yarn for a couple macrame pieces and I definitely would suggest what you already mentioned about not tying it toooo tight!
Oh dang totally forgot to add that, good suggestion there lol I used about 3ft of cord for each colour, folded in half.. I probably used more then I needed to tbh, I always like to give myself a little extra😅
