Chevy 3/4 and 1 Ton / Steering wheel controls /Clock spring (1 wire air bag) Pt. 1 

So this Video is about upgrading your stock steering wheel in a 03-06 Silverado / Sierra 2500 or 3500.
The OEM steering wheel does not have controls, my particular truck is a 2006 LBZ 3500 W/T, I have been slowly switching things out over time for my comfort & likes. I wanted a leather steering wheel w/ controls, in order to do this took a lot of research and time to figure out what I need to do to make this work.
I went off the dealer for my first clock spring w/ steering controls, GM Part #26101829 will NOT work with a single wire air bag, also the tap shifter will not "plug & play" as it should. So I had get another one I found from O'Reilly part # " STD CSP265 ". Once the clock spring came in the mail, pretty simple process to install unless you have an after market alarm.
You will have to take the grey plug off your factory harness, its a 4 pin connector. 2 wire go into the harness and the other 2 wires go straight to the the main plug. Take apart the plug and do these wires one at a time. ASK QUESTIONS if your not sure and take a lot of pictures to refer to.
That's my process from my clock spring, there will be 2 videos to break it up so its not so long and kept video quality.
