In this episode of Budget Build garage Nick reveals big plans for the El Camino. The new small block chevy 350 rebuild is about to transform into a chevy 355 small block supercharger! We just picked up our procharger supercharger for the small block chevy and I explain why I picked a ProCharger Supercharger. This chevy 355 small block project for the 1968 El Camino will be built to take some serious horsepower and some serious abuse! We will be topping the engine off with a supercharger from Procharger and cooling the air with a intercooler from Procharger as well as our Alcohol Injections Systems methanol pump.
The goals with this setup is to make more than 700 horsepower, Run a 9 second quarter mile and complete Drag Week.

Smart man your idea is great ... My suggestion go with 4500 - 5500 TCI stall with 342 gear ratio...low 9s for sure mastermind champ

dude I love this solely because my Dart small block 427 has probe forged pistons like yours does! I love it, mine though is 580-600 hp at the flywheel. Good luck, the pistons are unreplaceable now, as Probe no longer exists, but they are still good slugs to go with!

prochargers are more efficient than typical roots style blowers, and I agree with a blown engine, it wont get any debris in the supercharger.

I'm doing a similar build in my 71 elco a 355 is already in the car but more then likely going with a procharger or a roots style set up when I get a bit more play money

I love a roots style blower and I wanted to go with that but I didn't want to deal with the heat since I plan on driving this thing every where.

Don’t worry bro. I pumped meth.. methanol into my fuel system for a while as well. 😂😂 great video man just givin you a hard time. Nice setup, I want to put one on my nova but I gotta get off my lazy ass on my days off to do anything lol

If you're putting a new crank in, why not stroke it? Those OE roller blocks are awesome for stroking.

I put the big block in temporarily so I could make sure it was a good engine. I want it to be ready to go in the school bus when Taylor blows that engine up.
