In Indiana, the term overlanding is used the same way a "Salt Life" sticker is. In the Midwest, you would probably actually have an easier time finding salt water to swim in than a place to Overland.
Last year for my ‘23 Colorado ZR2 I bought the MAX Modular Aluminum 10" high “Voodoo” bed rack for a little over $1,000. I’m trying to keep things lightweight, and low profile. Along with a tent, two Rotopax, and a shovel all mounted on I hit the road for Moab and Canyonlands last October for 21 days and everything worked, functioned, and performed well. It all withstood the beating from the trails with no problems. The only problem I encountered after three weeks was,,, I had to go back home - 😭😎
Just wanted to update for anyone with a zr2. Mine was making a tapping sound from trans area. Truck was at dealer 20days. They pulled trans and found the starter cog spring was broken and cog would slide out and hit flex plate. New starter and new flex plate was the fix. Seems all good now.
