you have no idea how much of a tremendous help this was! my car had been working perfectly fine, but i woke up this morning and it simply wouldn’t crank. here I was, terrified i was going to have to get it towed or buy some expensive part for it and then i tried your little trick and BOOM smooth as butter! thank you so so VERY much!!!
You're using a security override mode. Just open and close the driver door, lock then unlock the car with the key fob, and open and close the driver door again. Basically, simulate getting out the car and locking and unlocking the car and getting back in. The cause of this is the security system has an auto lock mode (programmable via the radio) and thinks you're trying ti steal the car.
If anyone is wonder. It the ignition cylinder that is the problem. Speaking from experience. The key is pushing back to the ignition switch starting the battery power things, but the the thing you put your key into to turn is broken. So the engine will only start at certain angles. And eventually not at all
I have a Chevy Trax and it worked! Took me about 8 tries. I opened my car door once in between those tries. Thank you!! Theft sensor came on because I'm using a Copy and not the original key
Omg, thank you! Brother changed water outlet bc it was cracked and car wouldn't start, was making a weird sound not like trying to start, but wouldn't even turn over.. I did this and IT STARTED!! I've got a 2012 chevy cruze eco.. thanks for this video!!!
Thank you sir! My daughter's friend drove her car to the mall and we had this problem. It's raining cats and dogs and I couldn't get it to start. I grabbed my phone came here and saw this video. I did exactly what you did and it worked! ONCE AGAIN! THANK YOU
It’s the fuses that come out a little. Hit the starter relay and relay fuse with something solid to get it snuggled in good. Never had the problem again after
Omg, I met the same issue today, it was around 4pm. So I called my mate to drive me home and left the car over there. Then I called my boss and told him I cannot go to work tomorrow as I need to fix the car. Damn!
Period omg this just saved me and kids fucking life I love you sooo much god loves me so much ohhhhhhh my god y’all this really works I’m from Baltimore and just it’s hard out here I have four and thought I needed a new starter omg thank you so much man ❤
Thanks so much!!!!! This worked! I literally tried everything the people are talking about in the comments. Tonight me and my kids were stranded in the Louisiana state park bc my key fob is missing it’s buttons and my son accidentally spilled water into the fob. It caused this service theft light to show up. We sat there for hours. I tried disconnecting both batter connectors for 20 minutes. Nothing. I tried the lock the hit unlock so many times and nothing. I tried the let it sit until the light goes off then turn it off for 5 seconds then repeat but nothing. This video saved me though. I tried this and the horn started blaring then all of a sudden it started.
I have a 2010 Chevy impala that dose this often to and your video helped me so much thank you but do you have any ideas on what it could be that causes the car to do this?
I just fixed this problem my automatic transmission shift cable came off because the bushing was corroded and the cable came off. Please check if you're Cable came off then re attach it. Lol that was my issue i felt stupid when the tow truck guy saw it and helped me out 😅
Dude, just saved my ass. I've been turning steering wheel back and forth to get it to catch. That wasnt working tonight. Whew. I guess it's the ignition switch, right? For the record, 2002 tundra
Hey you guys I have a quick fix to get you back on the road! I've tried this twice and it worked! (My key fob is broken) it's risky but try having someone give you a jump lol I know the car heads are like alternator and electric computer whatever but hey it saves the day. It didn't work at first but leave it connected for a new seconds and have them reve the engine
Hi guys last year I got the same problems, I solved with replacement of the ECM, because after scanned the ECM modules was not able to communicate to others Modules.
This is an immobilizer issue, simulate locking the car with fob, wait a few seconds, unlock it and start. This usually happens when you lock the car with a fob and open it with a key.
I have a 2011 Chevy Cruze Lt Turbo and it's the worst vehicle I have ever owned. Only 2 years old when I purchased it back in 2013. I have always had scheduled maintenance done on it without fail and it is now currently sitting for three days now, won't start. Started having problems with it after I had it for only 3 months. Has completely turned me against Chevrolet. I will never own another Chevrolet product.
Ok, I had been dealing with this problem for a while, and I cant figure out why it's doing that. Do you have any idea of why its causing to delay by starting the car?
i’m having a similar issue but mine is when i’m ready to turn my car off the key doesn’t turn all the way and won’t come out and i have to use a screwdriver to insert at the bottom on the key where a hole is to be able to turn my car completely off and get the key out😂
The fuses under the hood come out a little every time I start my car. I had this problem and checked the fuses then noticed they was coming out I pushed like 10 of them in all the way and it started. Then noticed they come a little lose every time I start the car.
I used mine last Tuesday and tried to crank it with the same key today it wouldn't start after 3 tries, the anti-theft light displays. The battery of my remote is new, maybe i just need to remove and place the batter again. any suggestions?
Hold on can you please talk more about it? Something similar is happening with my used car that I've purchased just yesterday. Its actually -25°C here but I don't think it would have trouble starting with the cold. Actually I rolled the driver window down and it won't come up now probably cuz the battery is cold and can that be a reason for the car not starting? As you mentioned the anti theft protection?
Roman White I get these cars all the time not just saying it...I even had a dealership tell a customer that he needed a whole wiring hornist when it was only the body control module😏Best way to tell is take a wire from the positive battery down to the little wire on the starter or wire tester to make sure you’re getting 12 V to that wire on the starter when you’re turning the key ..I use power probe this is how we test it..Make sure the batteries good in the key then go from there..
Im having the same issue On diagnostics it gives key not programmed.. I have read PIN ON BCM and have deleted all keys and added new as "successfully" but still same issue I have changed battery on keyfob, same problem Just starts sometime when i try many times and dies immediately... Any solution?????
Do not constantly flip the key back and forth like that this will burn out your starter. Instead wait atleast 15 seconds before you try to crank it again.
It’s crazy too, same exact shit no , check engine light no nothing . And it’s pissing me off because I work a lot, and it could be a battery problem in the key?
Check your exhaust cam sensor common problem with Cruze and Sonic. When you tried to start and it does what yours is doing the CMP is thinking the car is already running that's why it does that
I owned a 2013 equinox and had same/similar issue..the dealer resolved issue as the alternator and had no further issues until transmission went bad the following year😉so could be power/alternator of can be exhaust system
I have 2016 chevy cruze limited an my husband changed the battery an now car wont start yes the cables are tight an clean hooked good fuses not blown but my windows wont roll down windshield wipers wont work headlights interior lights wont work but radio an dash light ac lights work an
@@chrisgurule5932 there is no issue with replacing a battery. The issue is 1. Battery dies, key fob dont work and 2. Battery dies, you leave car where it is and go buy battery on the spot. Its not like standard cars where battery dies and you just have someone push start it by putting it on first and letting the starter start the car
