The key symbol in the cupholder is for if the battery dies in the keyfob. You put the keyfob there and you can start the car even if the battery is dead.
Congratulations! Excited to receive my 3RS eAWD, but it’s stuck in Chicago due to the rail strike, hope I see it soon. Radiant Red with red interior and moonroof with a shade. Thanks for the review! Great lines, great job Mexico 🇲🇽❤️🇨🇦
My wife bought the 2LT and we love it. I wanted the smaller wheels for efficiency plus cheaper when getting replacement or winter tires. The wireless charger and sunroof weren’t available for the 2024’s. They will be available on the 2025’S which are now available to now order
Nice! Congrats on getting one, I hope you're still as happy with it as I am with ours. Nice to know that Chevy is rolling out the features customers are asking for in the upcoming model year too.
Isn't it Super Cruise on Chevy? Blue Cruise is Ford for sure. I have Blue Cruise on my Mustang Mach-E. The new car looks awesome! Can't wait to see how you like in the months ahead, especially coming from Tesla and comparing some of the features and whatnot to the Rivian. You also need to do a video on why you choose not to get another Tesla... I think a lot of us are wondering why. This car is going to be great for your channel, just like the Rivian has been good for the channel, I've been following since you were around 300 subs and boy did it take off once you got the Rivian!
Yes! I keep saying BlueCruise accidentally on this, I’m having a hard time reconfiguring my brain! Love it so far, but I’ve still only driven a few miles.
For sure, I already have one I’m working on comparing the different UI options - CarPlay vs the built in options in Chevy and Rivian. I’m afraid to post one on why I’m done with Tesla 😀. It might get a ton of views, but I don’t want to see the comments.
@@Eventurefamily You sort of did such a video after Tesla fired the Charging Staff. By the by, Rebecca Tinucci got hired by Uber to head up their EV transition.
I'm not anti-Tesla but I bought an Ioniq6 because at the time of my purchase the Tesla Service station was 2 hours away and even if I never had an issue, I did not like that.
Yeah, it seems a little bit flaky but I think we have the hang of it now after a few days using it. It's a nice feature though we might need to turn it off because it periodically wants to open in the garage
unfortunately a lot of cars ev or otherwise dont come with spares anymore. I checked out the equinox recently and was fairly impressed I decided to not go with it ultimately and instead of opted for a Kona. However, it is a really nice vehicle. Congratulations on your purchase. Ultimately, I went with the Kona because some of the safety features are a little bit more advanced, like the Blindspot indicator that pops up in front of the dashboard behind the steering wheel. And I saw a number of videos that the tailgate opens on its own in a sensitive way so that turned me off other than that the drive itself and the way that the car operates is impressive. The amount of legroom and space that you have beats out every other in the class and it is priced competitively for now. I did find the back is a little bit dark in terms of the lighting, however perhaps in future models, they will have an added sunroof. The fact that has an all wheel drive variant is also impressive and second of all the EV that I've driven and checked out thus far.
My 3lt awd with sunroof arrived today and 3lt do have 21" tires which I hate, in quebec we have winter tire laws so getting 21" tires were twice the price of 18" so i got 18" rims for winter but wheel outer diameter is same which actually is better for traction and lower risk of wheel damage from potholes.
Congratulations! That’s the perfect trim level. I have always gone for the smallest wheels on a vehicle before to for both reasons. We don’t usually get snow tires here, but having smaller tires is definitely better on our terrible roads here in NJ. I’m curious to see if we regret going for the 21’ wheels on the Equinox
Congrats, I went from a bolt EUV to a Tesla Model Y. Bolt EUV was great for me but it charge slow and sometimes the miles driven is inaccurate. Great car non the less. The Model Y takes away all of that. Great car as well. Pretty sure Equinox is the better Bolt, but I ended up getting the Y because of the 1.99 apr.. not gonna lie both Great cars!
That's a big reason I went for the RS trim, I think it looks great. I prefer the leatherette materials for ease of cleaning with the kids, but the cloth feels nicer too, especially when it's hot.
If I am buying a new car the salesman can find me the right colour and model. I can clearly tell he went out of his way to text you for the sale of a car, he probably did the same thing to find this one for you.
There is no inflation kit in the RS. It’s self sealing tires . I bought the exact same color RS AWD 2 weeks ago and I got a flat tire one week after delivery .
@@highrisklowreward4861 I am not sure where I got a puncture because the tire was completely flat the next morning in my driveway . Could not inflate or tow since I had to leave asap . I called a tire repair mobile unit to come and fix.
My rivian required a software update before using Tesla, btw most Rivian oeners are still waiting for the adapter. I got a A2z adapter in the meantime. Nice vehicle! Congratulations⚡
Congratulations! I don’t care for this black color on the RS. I think the blue and reds look nicer with the RS. I’ll probably get the 2025 or 25 Boltium EV next or maybe a smaller Tesla if they make it!
Congratulations On Your New Vehicle . I Bought The Equinox EV LT MODEL. ALSO IS SAME AS YOURS. SO FAR IM VERY HAPPY. JUST GOT RID OF MY 2024 HONDA ACCORD SPORT HYBRID. I WAS TIRED OF THE CAR. I NEEDED AN EV SUV. ANYWAY I SWITCH CARS LIKE UNDERWEAR. GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GM PRODUCT. LOOKS LIKE GM IS THE MANUFACTURER FOR HONDA /ACURA EV'S. CHECK WHERE HONDA PROLOGUE EV. AND ACURA ZDX ARE BUILT..
Congratulations, that’s awesome! Yes, I’ve checked out both the Honda and the Acura which are built by GM on this same platform (though both offer CarPlay). I’m hoping to check out the Acura in depth for an upcoming video soon too.
So size-wise the loaded Equinox will be competing with the base R2. From your Rivian experience do you think it holds up? Styling wise I sort of hope there will be a GMC Terrain AT4 version.
It’s very hard to say until the R2 actually comes out and we see final details, but I think it might be close. I expect the Rivian to charge better, have really excellent software, and probably very good ride and motor tuning over the Chevy, but it’s hard to say what they’ll be able to do to keep it at that price point while still being profitable. Chevy is also changing a few things for the 2025 model year, so with another year still on top of that, there’s a chance Chevy would come out on top. Right now I’m betting on the R2 with my reservation and the 2 year lease on the Equinox but who knows?
I have Android Auto but it's wired (&Apple Carplay but I'm an Android gal). I bought the lowest trim Ioniq6 which had wired Android Auto (38k in Winston-Salem, North Carolina). The high trim has wireless Android Auto.
I love EVs and I'm seeing more of them on the road than ever. I want the equinox activ plus but too bad it's in China. If it gets 80 miles per charge that's phenomenal! I'd love to get an EV but solid state battery technology is coming within the next 5 years and that's really going to push gas cars to extinction. The battery is safer, 30 percent more miles, can take the cold better, charges within 15 minutes(need 500kw station)😅. It's worth the wait.
I don't like sun roofs/moon roofs. Too hot here in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. No thanks on the radiant heat. We bought a cover for our R1T sunroof/moon roof and my Ioniq6 is the low trim (SE) so no sun roof/moon roof.
Yeah, we had the Tesla roof covered most of the time for the same reasons. We'd do it for the Rivian too but haven't found a good shade yet. I like having a roof that opens for ventilation and to have a partial convertible feel, but I didn't think it was necessarily worth the price here.
@@marvingeorge157you’re right! Sorry for getting it wrong, I don’t recall where I had read that it didn’t before. I did just check and you’re right that it’s in all Ultium vehicles
So it's another (non Tesla) EV that's great if you commute a few miles and take occasional road trip. If you need to drive 50-100 miles per day, you can only consider one EV brand...for now
if you are upgrading from a 10 year old Toyota or Honda , Teslas are ok, but their quality is way below par now to any other manufacturer, and they are all built in china now
@@stratoshd9043 your definitely misinformed. Tesla is the most American 🇺🇸 automaker. 90 percent of all their parts are made in America which is the most out of any automaker in America. I can send you the link if you want.
why does everyone get so hung up on Tesla being faster? Seriously for everyday driving, does it even matter? When you are driving around town with or without kids, you're not driving like you are on a racetrack, its nearly impossible. Is it fast enough to pass someone on occasion when you need to? Thats all you need. I agree on the Tesla software, but honestly, it has so much that most people won't use it to its fullest ability, just like with an upgraded computer, most people only do basic stuff. I need to get in my car and drive, I don't care if it has games or makes farting sounds or the ability to watch RU-vid or Hulu. I just need to get from point A to point B safely. With so many new EV's on the market, people have choices now, not everyone wants a Tesla.
I disagree, coming from 3 Teslas and having driven every model (except the truck). The Chevy rides better than the Model 3 and Y and the tech is quite comparable. The Tesla does mobile apps way better and better vertical integration, but it’s not as big of a difference as I imagined. The performance is definitely not as good in the Chevy as a Tesla, but for a commuting car I don’t miss it.
I don’t care for Tesla speed, especially living in California where there’s always traffic. Pretty much useless here. I’m so glad there are people out there willing to try something different. My friend bought a Tesla Model Y over a Toyota RAV4 PHEV. The Toyota was more expensive. Good to know that Tesla MY are now more affordable than ever.
