Every year I have to have my blend door actuator replaced on my 2010 Chevy Equinox and I'm not paying another person to fix it! I can totally do this myself, thank you very much!!!

I applaud your attempt to publish and help people out ... couple of points for you to consider ..... we understood the first time you said it that the Equinox was a POS ..... move on .... people are looking for solutions not personal opinions repeated over and over ..... focus on useful information, people will more likely sub and like if you lessen editorial and cut to the chase. Just my two cents to help if you take constructive review. Be well and Keep on with content

I have a quick question....I have a 2016 equinox and my a/c and heat were working than stopped....I took it to a shop and they said the heat was my thermostat so I replaced that....than it still wasn't working so they said it was the blend door and that's why my a/c was blowing cold....coolant and freon was full.....all my modes work...so my question is it the blend door on the passenger side??? Or somewhere else.....thanks...

I replaced my actuator 5 months ago. Was working well. Now it’s stuck on floor and dash. Reset fuses. Any suggestions? Thank you

You can check the wires in the connection going to the actuator Unfortunately this is a common problem for these cars It’s happened to me in my 2 equinox 4 times in the last 3 years

Also there’s 2 actuators one on each side of the car passenger side with is the common one and than drivers side that one is uncommon and difficult to get at

How hard is it to take apart the wire harness to reseat the wires? I have the same exact problem, once I took your advice and jiggled the blue wires it started blowing hot again.

If the problem is the fuses how do you determine that before i take the other part apart? And do you hit the yellow #20 fuse or what do you do ? If that doesnt make sense,sorry i know nothing about cars but thing to fix this problem for cheaper!

It’s all trial and error really. For me it was a loose wire Just check all fuses first see if any is blown. If one is blown put a new fuse. If that works and it don’t blow it’s just a fuse As I said check all fuses. As I say in the video most cases it’s the actuator Good luck !!!

My Chevy was running heater hot and got cold when I close to work it started blowing cold air and I put coolant in and it work fine but then I check the ac and back to heat and first it was blowing hot air on both now it’s just blowing cold what u think it might be

My hot air doesn't blow very hard. It has heat but not blowing hard. It sounds very loud when turned up. It also has a lot of moisture as well. Any thoughts?

looks fairly easy to me, try changing or replacing the damper for the glove box door! its near impossible!

Is the blend door suppose to open or closed? I have it on recirculation and i see the blend door is open

@@Southsideboystyle thats weird how that works... Ill have it on the normal setting like the outside air one and the blend door will be open. Where like i said when i have it on the recirculation one that blend door is closed.

This should be re labeled as Cold and hot actuator, or temperature actuator. Because the other one for the blend door path ways is a pain in the butt underneath the accelerator pedal. :( this way no confusion
