Here is a quick and easy video on how to change your weak / dead 2032 battery in your Chevy / Chevrolet Equinox key fob. You do not need any tools as the mechanical key is all you need to complete the task.

Walmart also sells a 6 pack of 2032 If you have not already, could you please share how to replace the rubber / silicone skin that covers the buttons on the key fob. And where to get the replacement.

Your best bet is to get an entirely new shell. They are about $12 - amzn.to/487mYN6
