Yes just a 3/8 ratchet no socket and I would immediately change it before your stranded could last a day could last an hour not worth the chance belts 10$

Yes All from the top side no need to remove anything it’s a little bit hard to find the tensioner but other than that it is super easy

Not necessarily the motor, but you could have noise coming from your pulleys or from the accessories that the belt runs.

@@handyishrandyish334 Same im thinking, Equinox n terrain hiss naturally but i feel mines hisses more than the norm n its annoying me. Was told its the belt and the tensioner

Do you have a flexible stick magnet. Or magnet on a string

Yes you can hardest part is finding the hole for your ratchet end in the tensioner

There should be a diagram under your hood that shows belt routing

I would have to see it but the belt coming off can’t cause oil leak unless it somehow damaged something on the motor? Start at your highest point that you see oil

Well I been losing oil, but never seen a leak anywhere. I'm about to try to put the belt on myself.

It's mostly around the belt on down though.

​@Justin-uv4ji did you ever find out where the oil was leaking from because I own an equinox and have the same problem.

@patriciabounds3853 when the belt came off, I noticed the pcv hose wasn't connected, so i think it was causing pressure to build up. So it could've been from that I'm thinking.

@@jessejames3988 yes the tensioner has a square notch you must go further down on the tensioner for the right notch there is a round one up higher
