On the 73-80, with a 4" lift, I have always used a set of either Gabriel or Monroe overload shocks, they are heavy duty and have the coil springs on them, you can use the factory rear shocks on the front and use factory length from a 1996 1500 or 2500 rear shock on the rear, just have to swap the top bushings, gives a Cadillac like ride on a K20. The front sway bar, use the factory style replacement on the frame and use end links on the sway bar to axle, helps out ride quality by tons

80 you could get round or rectangle headlights all year. I depended on if you got the deluxe frontend package or not. My 80 has the deluxe frontend and it has rectangle headlights, it is an early 80 as well.
