i have a 77 3/4 ton chevy pickup with a 385. i let my buddy drive it at the school, and he lost control of it and drove it through the old concession stand. took out the entire corner of the building, and i still DROVE it home. Chevy trucks truely are, built, like a rock.
i have owned them all, but found out, there is nothing like a Chevey, i always came back to the great Chevy, i have owned mine now for 13 years, still runs like it came off the show room floor, love them......
Chevys all the way baby. 88 chevy 1500, 185,000 miles and still going stronger than ever. my friend's dad has a 01 ford 7.3 deisel with 110k and it just blew up!
my dad has his 76 silverado inside his garage for the weekend drives and his 05 CTS outside the garage for the weekdays. I'm a 3rd generation chevy man and my son will be one too.
Hell yeah. I got a rusty 86 1/2 ton pickup that will go through anything. everything on the song my rusty chevrolet has happened to this one. and it still works factory tuff. with450,000 miles on it.
my dad had a 1985 chevy C10. that was a good little truck. worst problem he had was it wouldn't start, it ended up being the battery. it was his daily driver for 20+ years on the original 305 and transmission (which both were never rebuilt or anything). i bet the truck had well over 300k miles, before he sold it to a guy who is going to work on it and use it for a work truck. the legend lives on!! like a rock? you got that right
Amen.my lontime friends got an 06.longbed extend cab.sits pretty damn high tol.he wants to lift it 3" higher.im like.you do.ill not be able to get in or out no more.im only 5.3
Our 2004 Dodge Neon has went out a couple times in the last few months.....Guess what was there for us to give us a ride to get the parts to fix the Neon?? Our 1992 Chevy Truck. Before we had the Neon, we had a 1979 Chevy Malibu. That car NEVER gave us any trouble. Long Live Chevy!
great vid, i own an 86 silverado lifted and built, also had a 79 k5 blazer with 270.000 original miles on it, it still ran like a top when i sold it, gm for life
ive had 4 chevys in my life and all were 70s or 80sexcept for my new one which is an 08. recently, my boss backed over it with the cat 980 loader at work and did major damage. at the end of the day, he told me hed give me a ride home. and that he would pay for it. i walked over and jumped in and turned the key. she fired right up and i drove her all the way home. the frame has been realigned and a new bed and axle were put on. but she got me home that day. crab walkin. but home. i love my chevy
bob seger and airbornman my dad has a 93 GMC sierra that is nearly identical in color as yours. and this song is accurate my dads truck is still running despite having its fair share of problems over the years and it currently has over a 120,000 miles on it I wish GM still used this song in their ads its alot better than the this is our country campaign
every generation before me has driven a chevy last year when i turned 15 there was no other decision but to restore an old chevy and no im working on my 86 k5 blazer and a 69 truck on an 79 frame.
i'm with you brother.love my old 84 shortbed, wouldn't trade it for anything.25 years old and still going strong!!! i was sad to see pontiac get the chop, always loved pontiac especially the classics from the 60's.
well i am a chevy guy and i had to explain to the body shop that it was a hit and run so my insurance wouldnt go after my bosses company. instead of totaling it, i bought the axle from gm and the body work got covered by geico and my stepdad did the work, as he is an autobody guy. yours truly, a chevy guy.
Square body Chevrolet trucks r the best looking , mudslinging , easiest to modify trucks on the planet. love the song. love the Segar song ( Still the Same) also!
Yeah i love my chevy longest lasting best selling trucks. take mine from georgia to the upper penninsula of michigan hunting and camping and trail riding. i just put a lift on it its been stock for years nutin major 4 inch 3 inchbody thought about swappin out motor but i cant take the old heartbeat away it runnin to good. having over 400 g in miles and has no probs slinging mud or towing our camper so ill wait til it finally gives in. Chevy rocks.
"The trucks you can depend on... The truck that's built to last... Chevy Trucks! Voted most reliable in their class by J.D. Power and Associates, more than Ford, Dodge, and Datsun. No one Chevy is still winning The Heartbeat of America..." CHEVY TRUCKS - *LIKE A ROCK*
Nice video CHEVY all the way my family has owned nothing but chevys. and i plan on owning nothing but chevys for the rest of my life to. CHEVY LIKE A ROCK
Trust me when I say that gas prices aren't going to stop us. It'll just slow us down. Racing fuel is almost 6 bucks a gallon but I don't stop racing because of it. I just don't race as much. True that the tuners and rice burners are rising in popularity along with the gas prices but the trucks and the muscle cars will never go away.
just picked me up an 84 like the one @1:17 for 3K.Runs great gonna restore it.Had an 86 silverado bought new and let it get away-worse mistake i ever made.Love this vid brought a tear to my eye.I'd give my left nut for that 70 on 1:24 love those old trucks man!
The Big Blocks kick ass but you cant deny that the 350 is probally the best small block v8 ever, you can do anything with it, drag car, circle track, street car, best engine ever
I have an 05 duramax with all the bells and whistles and an 03 1500 chromed out but i would give up both in a heart for a really sharp older chevy........yeah yep
coming from a ford guy, ive owned a bronco and f150 i gotta admit chevy is a damn good truck. their engines put out way more power than a factory ford. only thing i dislike about chevy is their IFS 4x4. thats honestly the only reason i drive a ford. the TTB on a ford is just stronger. unless i ever find a chevy with a solid axle and 5.7liter v8 ill probably stick to ford. but i would never bash a chevy
1994 Chevy 1500 4x4 ext cab long bed gm350 with 190,000 miles on it still runs like a top and I have beaten up that truck a lot and kept going without complaint
Yes guys, Chevy is truly great, but remember, Ford and Dodge are American too... We should put our hate where it belongs... Toward the imports that are claiming to be "American" like Toyota Tundra and that crap... Its time we stand up for American trucks everyone... America will not lose!
