Ummm bud the only difference in the one and 3/4 ton trucks is mainly suspension and and little fact the ford weighs about 8,000lbs or so and thats under that chevys weight limit so your statment makes no sense at all

Damn strait Im a proud owner of a P71 crown vic and its got over 190k miles still running like brand new! Chevy may have stronger engines but ford has more durable engines!
But worse engines want to know why? I brought a 2014 Ford F150 and just got it for a few months and the engine already going Boom wren cu ca cu we Then didn't get the power I need when I need it... Fuel Pump and filter was okay but the engine does not want to transfer fuel.
I love how everybody is arguing about the brand when these aren't even stock trucks... This is about the performance modifications done to these trucks.

Nick Kane... Yes it does, technically it has 4 of em. CV shafts are still axle shafts, they're just engineered differently. When a truck breaks an axle, that means an axle shaft, not the whole housing and tubes
Doesnt gvwr have as much to do with these kind of tug of war set ups as torque...not to mention...traction and tires....i love both chevy and ford...but in my older years...i only buy chevy

Why in the hell does EVERYONE have to argue about trucks. I personally think Chevy and Ford are the two best manufacturers out there. Truck-wise in general. Even though the Duramax is made by Isuzu, it's pretty damn strong.

If you think for one minute that one is better than the other you're kidding yourself. All trucks...cars....vans...bikes have problems. Some can be more problematic than others in the same line up. .These two trucks have been altered. So you can't judge that a brand is better than the other from this video...one could have better aftermarket parts than the other. I've driven and owe'd Fords...GMC's...Dodges...and Chevy. All acted about the same all had minor issues...all cost around the same.

Just because the guy on the ford commercial says strong and long lasting in a deep convincing voice and that ford is more popular doesnt mean chevy cant crush it into the pavement.
The only thing Chevy Duramax really has on Dodge Cummins and Ford Power stroke is there Allison transmission. other than that it's all in opinion and other facts. Ford 7.3 power stroke is the best ford ever had. when used correctly same with the Dodge 5.9 Cummins. GMs 6.6 Duramax is nothing to sneeze at either. but GM is famous for there 90+% recalls and there tire rods breaking. Dodge has tranny problems (mainly in 1500s) and ford is known for head gasket problems. but in the diesel world they are all capable for towing up to 30,000 plus. lbs. Cummins has more than RAM, and Nissan Titan to back it up. Fords f-series dominates (idk why but they do) they have done there job. same with GM. so in the end it's all about opinion. I understand pride in ones brand the "truck war" but there isn't a need to be a dick about it.
+Devin Lowe I agree, I am a chevy fan myself but that engine was great... we have one that comes to the shop with 400,000 miles on it. I can't give the credit to ford with the international badge stamped on the valve cover though... that 6.0 is terrible... the only engine I credit ford with is their V10... terrible gas mileage but they will hit 250,000 no problem...
+Matt Miller I agree. the 6.0 is ok if you fix it up. the 6.4 is good too. same with 6.7. but 7.3 is the best. the 5.4 triton is a beast gas engine too. either in the f150 or f250. I'm a Dodge guy but there transmission isn't good,at all in the second gen 1500s. but I'd take a 5.4 150/7.3 250 any day. as far as duramax goes I'd take one. around the 99-07 years. Dodge I'd take any 1st gen Cummins, any second and third gen Cummins. I'd take a hemi maybe. and either a Dakota 4.7 quad cab/ram 4.7 quad. or 5.9 360

The one thing Chevy made broke...Chevy doesn't know how to make a diesel or a transmission(or an ignition switch) so the go crying to other company's to make them something they suck at and then the things they do make(I.e. axel/diff) shatter like every Chevy drivers hopes and dreams when they see a Ford come to tow them to the shop
How cant you compare them? The f250 has the same chassis same axles same engine same transmission and same transfer case as an f350 of that year. The only difference would be the leaf spring capacity. I'm pretty sure its the same with the chevy.
+David Son f-350 has a d80 in the rear. 250 have a sterling 10.5. 350s have lower gears. and yes 350s have a different spring pack. 2500hd to 3500 is just lower gears. no suspension changes. the big 3 American trucks all have ups and downs. tug of wars are all weight to traction ratio. a samurai could pull a semi given the correct conditions. This has nothing to do with manufacturers. more driver skill and knowing what to do and when

I have seen this happen to FORDs as well while pulling against a Chevy. This isn't what trucks are meant for so you cant fault them when this happens. I personally believe the Chevy is a much better more solid truck. I tried the powerjoke back in 99' and it failed me over and over again, the 7.3 wasnt horrible but it was comparatively weak and loved the diesel. The rest of the truck left nothing to be desired, a pathetic transmission and weak front end that was always out of alignment and always needed new balljoints. Bought a Duramax out of spite for FORD in 02' and it has been a great truck. It is my livelihood and it now has 1.4 million miles on it. Original Duramax and Allison tranny. Keep good injectors in the LB7 and she will run forever. I use my truck everyday hauling less than semi loads on the interstate.
I honestly can't see why people praise Ford and trash GM. I looked into buying a Ford but they don't live up to what Ford would lead you to think. The interiors are so bland and feel cheap. Under the hood is a mess (doesn't have a good fit and finish) and that Ecoboost would make a good boat anchor IMO. We have 2 Ecoboost F150's at work and at -25C they would hardly start. That being said I wouldn't call GM a superior product (they're on the same level IMO).
And it wasnt the chevys fault it was the companys fault that sold it to him if u look closley u can see its not a factory axel its a moddes one therefore its not the truck that broke but the company that sold him the axel

Chevys use IFS in the front they're capable of handling a lot of power but not jacked up like that The CV halfshaft is a fairly cheap part to replace 100 bucks and is a small price to pay for the superior ride Comfort that Dodge and Ford are envious of.
Ford is all around better trucks period... People bash them cause they can't afford them know tons of people what tried Chevy and Dodge nothing but complaints don't get me wrong I like Chevy but I'll take a Ford first before a Chevy.
The guy in the chevy outsmarted the guy in the ford. The burnout (even though it was a weak one wheel peel) warmed up the tire for better traction. Then he stayed planted and let the ford start spinning. Once the ford had lost traction and was spinning the tires, it was easy for the chevy to move him backwards. Just physics more than one truck being superior to the other.
