@@andyscott6315 I don't think the chat segments were in the original tv version, just on the VHS and DVD release. Wish i could find the original version.
I remember the chatty bits from the original TV broadcast, never watched the VHS/dvds. I remember when the program first came out it was hyped up a bit (as far as BBC Scotland goes) for it being a radio show moving to TV. I watched it from the first episode on the TV at the time. Think the show wasn't that popular at first but then got bigger series 2 onwards. X
Chewin the fat was brilliant sketch show👌wish there was another series Karen Dunbar was good loved her do prefer this more than still game though but that's just me 🙈 does makes me proud to be Scottish haha 🏴💕
It's a travesty that we here in the States never got to enjoy this when it was airing on television. If not for uploads like this playlist, I'd have to invest in a DVD player from the UK and buy all of the discs online in order to watch it now. Thank you for giving us a chance to enjoy this incredible show!
Thankyou for uploading this! I’m in Australia and watching this takes me back and makes me happy and proud to be Scottish, so many lol’s and memories watching this! 😂😂
One of my favorite shows. I am in Seattle, USA and first started watching to try to understand Scots. After watching it (not with RU-vid's auto captions!) I have been able to understand some Scottish accents. I have also become a huge fan of this show and "Still Game," which is another awesome show, along with "Burniston."
Is it me or is wierd how every successful scot loves Scotland and their heritage and hate anything English, despite the France repeatedly making a fool of them, yet the the first thing they do is ge tay fu out of the place😂😂😂😂
And now this wonderful serious is another one that is "too offensive to be made today" Ford Kiernan admitted. Enjoy Comedy while it lasts folks, it's going away.
@@snarknation2438 Well, you don't see me coming over to CSI videos and whining about how Americans pronounce things. "I'm American SO it's wanna." Like being American means something. You're not the arbiter of the language, now bolt, you wee fanny.
I miss my Scottish friends and the twins, I'm going to see the twins always made the Austin powers joke but they were twins and it fit so well ah I love that family
First time viewer here. Hilarious show, but what I seem to love the most are the accents. I have Scottish ancestry, but I'm an American. Only once in my entire life have I heard my name pronounced as it should be. It was the most beautiful thing. I'll never forget it. I'd love to visit someday.
Don't think they were on talking terms by then!! Its never been spoken about but I think she got shafted in the deals somewhere along the way....how they could have done Still Game without Karen Dunbar is beyond me...she talks of her own demons from that time aswell and maybe they were glad to see the back of her, who knows. It was great to see them finally unite at the final Still Game live show, that really set all right in the world as far as that's concerned, and I think Karen Dunbar is in a much happier frame of mind now....they fell out with Paul (Winston) big time aswell....I think over his contributions to the show....some of these got an appearance in the final seasons, and it shows, absolute naff jokes.....but they let him get it to keep him happy
