Watching his Spanish dance in Mao's Last Dancer (starting 58:12 in there), it's soo perfect, very Spanish, more Spanish than any other in my limited experience of watching Spanish dance by a ballerino! I wanted to download that dance (3'30" long) but YT doesn't allow me (rented movie). I wondered then why Chi Cao didn't achieve more fame and picked by Hollywood movie directors because that piece certainly put him in the 1st league of world class ballerino.
Actually his name is Li Cunxin, pronounced Li Shenzin. Li being his family name and Cunxin being his first name! It really annoys me when people call him Li, it shows a lot of ignorance on the part of westerners who just couldn't be bothered! And Yes, Chi Cao was incredible in the movie and has a very similar life story to Li Cunxin! He's also very cute and has a body to die for, that scene in the movie when he's dancing almost naked, YOWZA!
