The Chia network is growing quickly. Too quickly. The difficulty is growing so fast that it's making it hard for plotters to keep up. Are you planning to plot continually and add more storage to your farm to keep up with the growth? Or will you just plot what you have and then call it a day, hoping for the "lottery" to one day pick you?
Joined hpool and pay out every third days 0.1 chia out. This lottery thing is insane with that netspace growth. As I still have 200TB to plot (doing 60 plots daily) my payout will increase.
I plotted with a WD black 7200 rpm drive and did 1 plot in 10h on a i5 2500k with 16 gig of ram. Now I have an i7 10700k with 16 (soon to be 32) gigs of ram with a 970 evo plus nvme and I made 1 plot in 4.5h.... thats the difference
For the moment I'm holding as a solo farmer until official pools are available... it just feels like it's going to be soonish - so I'm hanging tight. But yes... solo difficulty is fast approaching the realm of impossibility for small farmers like me. I'll hold out a little longer before pulling that trigger. Good luck!
@@LinuxTechShow Let me get this straight - you are going to solo farm right now with no revenue and will wait till official pools are out and then join a pool and *replot* but refuse to join hpool in the meantime when you could be making money. That I am afraid makes no sense. The only strategy right now for a person like you is to join hpool and make money and then when official pools are out to leave hpool and replot on an official farm. It is brain dead simple but somehow lots of people are getting this wrong with weird reason like "hpool takes your private key". Hello!? Get a new key when you replot on a official pool. In the meantime put your investment to work and make money on hpool.
