We spent a whole day with elephants in Chiang Mai and we had the best day ever! Chiang Mai Elephant Home picked us up at our hotel in the old town and drove us out to the Jungle where their elephants live.
We got Chiang Mai Elephant home recommended from two different locals that we talked to when we first arrived in Chiang Mai and we paid 2400 baht per person for a whole day including hotel pick up, feeding the elephants, mud spa, trip to the a beautiful waterfall and lunch.
They take good care of their Elephants and there are of course no riding. The elephants are also free to roam around their huge farm. Most of the food we fed to the elephants they grow them selves and the staff was very kind, knowledgeable and welcoming.
If you go to Thailand we highly recommend you going to an Elephant Sanctuary or an Elephant home that does no riding. Here the animals are happy and well looked after. This was truly an incredible experience.
