On my first day in Chiang Mai, Thailand's culture capital, I take a free guided walking tour with a local to explore the Old City of Chiang Mai. Phailin, our guide, took us to some of the important temples in the area, and shared a lot of information regarding the city, Thai food and more. We later explore the China Town area of the city and the markets, followed by lunch at one of Chiang Mai's best and locally-recommended Pad Thai restaurant.
