@@MinimalistNomad that’s fine by me. It’s bloody cold in England right now. I want to see beautiful temples, waterfalls, eat lovely Thai food, and meet lovely ladies. Do you think Chiang Rai can provide those things? All in the lovely sunshine? If so I’ll be a happy man.
yes - northern thailand is the best place I have ever been - because of the people. Next time I need to go to Chiang Rai (I only know Chiang Mai and fell in love with it too)! South Thailand is different people. I am very excited about your West-Africa experiences.
"Minimalist Nomad"....., hm, nicht dass ich mich auch versuche so aufzustellen. Chiang Mai kenne ich ganz gut, war vor einigen Jahren einen ganzen Winter da und es hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Grüße aus Köln
@@MinimalistNomad yes, i feel the same. I am currently in Da Nang - great beach and not so busy as eg. Hanoi, Saigon I am curious to ask - ( ie. If you've already travelled in Vietnam) how smaller cities (eg Da Nang) would compare for you to Chiang Rai for living longer term - the people / place erc ? I realize it is an individual choice but I would be interested in your take on both
@john9675 Both cities are great in their own way. I love Da Nang's beach, mountains, infrastructure, location, logistics and cost of living. Chiang Rai is a totally different location but good for guys who like seclusion and solitude like I do.
