I dont recommend you to try Loo(ลู่) beacause it has raw blood in it. Even I am Thai, I am not brave enough to try it. It can cause you sick.

You can't find Loo at street food. It's quite a specific food.And it's exotic food, but try putting the word " ลาบ " into google map may help because Laab is the main dish and Loo is side dishes. Don't forget to see the rating as well.

The fried dough snack is named " Karee Pab". It is actually from " Curry puff" since primarily it is stuffed by chicken curry paste.

As you are in CNX, Yes! What you should try is northern food. Mainly menu is Kao Soi, but actually I prefer beef, other menus might made you cry cause of spicy tastes. About how to eat Kao Soi, TH style mix the side dishes ex. vegetables, shallots, lime water & a bit chilli oil would be Thai taste as we usually have it.

You guys always start with a mild version of food which I consider it's good, Maybe? when you found a better version later 😁 Kao-Soi is a very famous dish in northern Thailand. the one you have at the market was ok I guess but I think the soup is quite thin. Kao-soi soup should be a bit thicker than what I saw in this Video, more creamy and rich curry flavor. there are hundreds of kao-soi restaurants in Chiang Mai I hope you can find your favorite one. don't forget to try beef Kao-soi, too 😆

Khao-Soi was Ranked the Best soup in the world on TasteAtlas just last year my friends.😉😉💕💕💕🙏🙏 For Lou, it's not that common food my friends just for some Thai who love I have to say "gnarly food" because just some Thai love it but many still afraid to eat because it's still looks like a blood my friends and it's not perfectly cooked like "Nam-Tok" or "Boat noodle", probably the people who recommended you guys this dish just wanted you guys to go deep through the root of the Northern Thai taste. Lol

"butterfly pea flowers" will give us a natural dark blue color but no taste nor odor then the taste of coconut pancake will not differ from the original one, the next snack you have called "curry puff" they always stuffed with curry chicken but some shops may put other kind of stuffed such as taro, sweet potato etc. Many places in Thailand, riverside restaurant always pricy than other locations if you want to save your money without a good view you might choose other places.

the thing you ate and express the taro taste is originally called curry puff. I guess it was from India and Thais modify it with differentiated stuffing. Curry puff in Thailand is pronounced as Ka ree pab.

The funny thing is that white coconut pancake originally came before until the dark one which is made of riceberry and considered fancier choice kinda gradually replaces the white one. These day the white coconut pancake is really hard to find. In my opinion, I love the white version too.

Love to see this video and love to know you like Chiang Mai, my hometown. Rainy season is my most fav season, especially at the end of rainy and the beginning of winter season. Everything is green, air is fresh, not to hot. I always recommend my international friends to come in this season. (Summer, just escape to the see😂) About the PUFF, there are many filling inside. U tried taro one, that is sweet. If you had a chance, just try the chicken curry one. It’s not sweet. You can also have it as a meal. 😊 Enjoy Thailand ❤

Loo and Laab are not for the faint of heart! They are served raw in the northern Thai. Some vendor make them from buffalo. I do prefer buffalo laab and I might say, the ones in Chiangrai taste a bit better.

Hi last night in Chiang mai this trip for me, been here many times and love this area. I drove around a few times and can recommend that a lot. The roads to mae Hong song and lampang, Payao and Chiang Rai are amazing. One small tip around Chiang mai: insect farm in mae rim.

If you want to impress the vendors, (and your viewers who has not read this) the ChiengMai equivalent of Kha or Khrap is "Chao" (pronounced "chow"). So you would end things with it like, "Khap Khun Chao". Khao Soi: You would get the unadulterated taste if you mix and eat the noodle, with (part of) the meat and soup + condiments in your spoon which is shaped large to fit them all in. Eating them separately at the beginning tends to bias your taste buds to expectations different from the actual taste of the food.

Thai meal is quite like democracy dish, kind da like most of the dish you can adjust the taste what ever you like(if you can communicate to seller). For example if you want pad ka prao(stir fried basil with some meat)this dish has a base taste but you can tell the seller how much the spice you have to go with, or the noodle, they got a base soup but you can arrange by the condiment on the table ex chili pepper sugar or vinegar. it kind da sad, food in Thai is quite like we've got democracy but in our real life we have none for that thing. that so sadddddd
