WayneO you´re a LEGEND mate for doing this! Im in Kuala Lumpur at the moment and looking for a place to go after my 90 days, this definitely helps with decision making. I owe you a beer when I see ya!
@@mightay6672 I'll take any lessons I can get. Will legit give someone $100 (AUD) if they can actually get me hooked up using a lure. As far as I'm concerned, the only thing they lure in is idiots like me thinking they'll work.
This is getting a little trickier apparently, I did the same but flying into Vientiane and queued for a couple of hours and saw several people getting denied so I reckon it’s good to do your research on this so you don’t mess up
Very informative brother. A great refresher for me anyways, I did this visa run and was sooooooooo farknnn baked, the bloke i went with with forget he had his weed on him so we were pumping joints at every stop and people pick up, there was 9 people getting picked up so was well toasty, and the best part was the icecream man just waiting before the boarder crossing.
Ohhhh you got the ice cream man too?!!! I'm so devo he wasn't there this time I wanted to show it on the video. Ice cream with bread, sweetened condensed milk and sprinkles sounds weird but it was so good!
That’s a mad boarder crossing, I usually go to chang chom crossing to Cambodia,it’s like what you would picture as a border crossing, usually i just ride there but tomorrow my brother in law (ping pong)from the Thai military is taking me and he used to work on this border 👏👏☝️should be quick i reckon .. fukn chicken dinner … did a hectic one from Phuket to Malaysia once, fuckn hell lol I even asked him if his van has an intercooler 😂
Great vid, saves trying to read shit on reddit about this! One question though: is the visa on arrival something that needs to be applied for? or the officers just do it for you on the spot? Thanks wayno
I don't think so mate. I've just rocked up both times and it's been fine. Both times I've been with a group of people from all different countries and it's been the same for them. (except for the guy that tried to do it 3 times in 1 year)
@@wayneosadventures thanks very much mate, apreciate it! me and my missus are doing a big trip there at the end of the year. your info has been very helpful cheers
If its unlimited coming in by air does that mean you need to fly out and fly in every 30 days? Also if you extend the 30 days on arrival can you still do 2 land runs and how long can you be in thailand per 1 year?
Yes unless you do the extension. Yes, can still do the land crossings if you extend. I've done it twice now. Once last year and again this year. Not sure on how many times. As far as I know, you can leave and come back as many times as you want as long as you do it legally. Can also depend on the immigration officer you get so I've heard. There's been some changes recently too so I suggest looking in to those. For example I get 30 days on arrival but now it's meant to be 60.
As far as I know and this is from what I read online last year. As long as you come in via air, it's unlimited mate. So you can come and go via the airport as many times as you like but the land/sea is 2 per calendar year. That's what I read. That was last year though so not sure if it's changed or if it was even right to begin with but I've never had any issues at the airport and I've been told at the land crossing that it's only 2 times a year.
Did you do the immigration extension as well. First the visa exemption at the airport 30days. Then the immigration extension for another 30 days. Then the last one boarder run for a total of 90 days in Thailand.
Nope didn't do the extension yet. Is that legit though? Only 180 days total? I swear I was here for longer than that last year but probably not. I was probably bang on the 180 tbh.
Not dumb at all mate. If you're from a country that has the visa exemption rule with Thailand then when you arrive here you get 30 days. You can pay 1900 baht at immigration to extend that for another 30. After that you HAVE to leave Thailand.
Supposedly you used to be able to do 2 by air and 2 by land now it's just 2 regardless, pretty crap because Thailand is a mad country to visit and 60 days sometimes isn't enough.
Unless it's changed this year. Air is unlimited now. I haven't had any troubles getting back in and I was here for a while last year. I did leave and come back. Some times for over a month but still never had any issues going by air.
Do you happen to know if you can extend for another 30 days at immigration after your second visa run? Some old fella on my first visa run told me you can’t but he’s probably not had to do it in the last 40 years
So the way it works for me on an Aussie visa. I arrive. Get 30 days. I can then extend for another 30 by paying 1900 baht at immigration. After that I HAVE to leave Thailand and come back. Can leave and come back twice per calendar year via land or sea. Air is unlimited.
How many times can you keep doing this border run and keep entering back into Thailand ? Do you have to keep doing one month extensions or can you keep doing 3 months ?
When I arrive. I get 30 days and I can extend that for another 30 at immigration for 1900 baht. (I have a video about it). If you do the extension you HAVE to leave the kingdom of Thailand after the extension is finished. You can do 2 land/sea crossings per calendar year and as far as I know. Going by air is unlimited.
Mate, Beer Laos Gold is crap, just the regular stuff is the nectar of the Gods. Also, I'm not 100% sure but I think you can do an online visa app in advance now so they won't do the full page sticker, coz those Aussie passport pages are fkn expensive!
1000000% agreed mate. I tried the OG one last year and it was nice. The Gold one is complete trash. Yeah bro the full sticker is crazy. I need to look at maybe paying a bit more for a visa company to sort me out.
I guess it depends on what you're planning bro - like staying permanently? Visa options are a bit restricted as you are aware (and getting worse). However where there's a will there's a way. I have a few handy contacts if you need any assistance!
I don't wanna do anything crazy. If anything I'd happily take an education visa and either learn Thai or train Muay Thai for 3 months. Prefer the Muay Thai option I've just gotten mixed signals on how it all works though. Only reason I haven't pulled the trigger and done it yet.
@@nickbangkok3365 If you have anyone that can help me with a education visa then please hit me up on Instagram please mate. @wayneos_adventures. Can DM me there.
Mainly some form of sales for most of my life. After that I drove a forklift and did a few deliveries for a import/export company. Then I quit and started travelling.
@@wayneosadventures bruv I will find out , it’s in thialand 100% big white like ramps water slides with 3 different heights , I seen it on the tube a few times wayno ! Hahahahah bro send it
2 months if you include the extension. Possibly 90 days soon when the new visa changes come in to place as they're changing the time we get on arrival from 30 to 60 days and then probably a 30 day extension.
