Hello again to all of our @vagabondlife2018 subscribers.
Today we explore two of Chiang Rai's most beautiful pieces of artwork which are the White (Wat Rong Khun) and Blue (Wat Rong Suea Ten) temples.
Although only the Blue Temple is actually a working temple, both were built where ancient temples once stood and both have also been built by local artists, to be both a place of worship, a piece of art and something of beauty.
They are both something to behold when you think about the amount of time and effort that has gone into to creating these wonders, from the intricate detail of the every bit of mirror glass on the White temple through to the amazing frescos adorning the ceiling of the Blue temple, and work still continues on them today.
There are many and varied temples that you can visit while in Thailand and all have their own special something, however even if you are "all templed out" we highly recommend going to Chiang Rai and taking in both of these two beauties, you will not regret it.
