@@ApurtureSci Form already do the pistol grip so I don’t think it would be hard for them to make a thumbhole stock with a length of pull the same length as the rod. You could similarly make a foregrip that bolts on via the front lower picatinny mount. You could psychically convert it about 5 mins with no gun smithing skill - but I don’t know what the legal implications would be. Maybe something Blue Field Sports could look into? Hint hint 😉
You know the different length examples of the Rhino have a slip on end bit for the sights of different lengths for each gun. I always thought it was a pity they didn't make one for a 12" barrel, it would look much cooler. Maybe you could 3D print one? Unless it would melt? It would reduce the weight probably too.
Would be so much better looking indeed. I've drawn up a 3D model that I would like to have machined out of aluminium one day, will cost a fortune to send it to a CNC milling company though.
I have gone for the Nebula version 357 as I’ve owned many black and silver handguns before the ban, I love the gun but I haven’t found my one particularly accurate working on my home reloads to find the right load hopefully this will help, love the form grips.
I love mine so far. I haven't handled the S&W but from the others which I have the Rhino is the most handgun-like LBR I've come across. They couldn't have picked a better model as the normal unmolested 60DS is already so light. This is subjective but imo the aesthetics of the Rhino also lend itself better in LBR form than say the Taurus etc, where so much of the 12" barrel is visually set apart from the frame. The Rhino in comparison not only feels light but looks (especially in person) about as tiny as an LBR can - almost like it's under. Really well done.
Surely its biggest competitor is the Alpha Proj revolver? I have seen lots of them at a few clubs, certainly more than Chiappas! Would be good if you could try one out.
I would say the three affordable and fairly easy to find LBRs are the Taurus 66, Alfa Proj and Uberti Buntline. Then there's the Rhino which is a step up in price, and then the Ruger Super RedHawks which go for even more.
i have a grifone in 44.mag. I think punchy is a good description. Others have said brutal or obnoxious. At the range it generally clears surrounding benches.
Dealers have been saying the .44 is coming for years, it doesn't exist yet. The largest cartridge you can get the Rhino in is .40 S&W. Chiappa have been advertising a full-stainless-steel .357 model (3" barrel) which is a solid step towards a .44 model, I don't think the standard aluminium frame would be strong enough. By the way, you can shoot the 9mm without moon clips. 9mm headspaces at the case mouth so you can drop them in and shoot, you just can't eject them with the ejector rod. I've had mine for a few months now and enjoy shooting it very much. Something interesting to note is that most 9mm ammo loses quite a lot of velocity due to the cylinder gap and the long freebore in the cylinder. GECO 124gr came out at 1000fps, so pretty slow. Plenty accurate though.
When i was a kid I was looking forward to joining a gun club and collecting guns- this was in the 70s. Unfortunately things happened and I had to forget my passion for firearms. Now as a 54 yo looks like I can start shooting. Yay 😊 so, how to go about it? Join a gun club, apply for a class 1 fac and start shooting? Can't be that easy can it?
That's basically it though you will have to do a 3-6 month probation period at your chosen club before they make you a full member and you can then apply for your FAC. Honestly people join all different ages and backgrounds, pretty much never too late to start. Covid is going to scupper everything right now unfortunately but once a window opens up, email the club in your area/nearest to you (how you're interested in shooting, curious about the sport etc) and it should all go from there.
@@JammyGuns great thanks mate. I did a bit more digging after by post and found a few in my area. Going to be looking at practical shotgun, maybe clays, long barreled revolver, and vintage rifle shooting. Already got a shopping list lol. I just always assumed the HO and police were against sport shooting and only just found out thats not the case 👍
The left hand grip looks odd. I know that it fires from the bottom chamber, and as such there is a risk of damage to the thumb, but it just looks clumsy and slow.
@@brussel4242 I was confused on a rolling on a buckmark rifle cut down to lbp, court rulled as it was made as a rifle and still net parameters it was still a rifle.
They look pretty an im in love but damn a we bit expensive for my blood. one can dream tho. On another note i didnt think we could get 9mm long barrel pistols in u.k.
As it’s a revolver you are allowed any caliber you want so long as it’s got a 12 inch barrel and is at least 60Omm long, I think that’s the correct length.

@@todumbtodie6234 They do not fit the UK definition of self-loading so they aren't limited to .22 Rimfire like semi-auto rifles and long barrel pistols. A single-shot long barrel pistol can also be in any calibre. I suppose they aren't so worried about them because of the limited capacity and the longer reload times.
Has anyone ever tried to incorporate a pistol brace into the coat hanger tail of UK legal LBPs? Seems like if you are legally required to have that monstrosity, at least we can try to make the best of it and get some actual functional benefits from it rather than trying to pretend it isn’t there?
wow, I feel sorry for you guys in the Uk not even trying to be funny... is there any hope off more firearms being legalized? I find it stupid how you can own a shotgun but not even a pistol let alone a rifle.
