Saying the Bears should not get credit for doing the obvious thing that everyone would do is blatantly false considering how rarely the Bears have done anything smart in the last 20 years. This is the team that traded up for Trubisky instead of taking Watson or Mahomes. They should get credit for not absolutely blowing it this time

Odunze will definitely make an impact in wr room…bears had 2 receivers that can actually hold on to the ball before they got him lol

Booker isn’t costly at all. With how good the roster is not everyone is gonna make the team who gets drafted next year. You go from 11 picks to 10 in 2025

Austin Booker for a 2025 4th round pick was not costly at all. Trading a 2024 5th round for a 2025 4th round is a fair trade. The Bears still have 10 picks in the 2025 draft.

Fields got the short end by the Bears, but that was on the prior regime, Pace & Nagy. Fields 1st career start, was against the Browns and they feasted on Fields. Poles doesnt owe anything to Fields, he did Fields a solid and traded him to his preferred choice, Steelers. Also, its a salary cap move too, Bears save close to 30 mil with Fields gone, & 5 years of team control with Caleb.

BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN JUSTIN HAVING A CHANCE AND CALEB.... justin never had a chance because he cant play Qb he just dont understand defense nor does he understand how to get thru his progressions, he will just always tbrow to number 1 and if thats covered he will run or be sacked or fumble or throw interceptions point blank

Dunno I’m torn on this one. Firstly grading drafts is honestly nonsensical but seen as we all do it. Can you really give this draft an A, I dunno, I get they get Caleb and the trade with Panthers to get him needs to be factored in but they had number one pick and took the best QB. Picking up Odunze is legit and a good pick there gives them a chance to have a very good weapons locker for the first time in ages. After that it got weird - a guard that played tackle at college level but is basically providing depth in the 3rd seems like a wasted pick to me there. Then A punter in the 4th seems bonkers as outstanding as he is as a punter clearly could have traded down to get him or just upgraded at punter in FA. Then having to trade back in to get a back up edge because you used a 4th on a punter. Errr that isn’t great management of a draft for me. I’d say they had one obvious pick that 100% of people would have made. Then one great pick in Odunze then a mess. Not sure overall the draft in isolation is A grade. They got hopefully and A grade QB and a very good WR. Think they made a mess of the draft after that.
