Armed robbery should warrant at least twenty years in prison or capital punishment if the victims get hurt and if it is clearly captured by a camera, because the perpetrators threaten to take the victims' lives. It's infuriating to see these atrocities in the most powerful country in the world. The barbaric extremities will never stop until the authorities start thinning out the violent herd
You're wrong, doesn't matter the punishment, crime rates stay the same...We used to publicly hang children over a horse, it did not make less criminals just made more violent ones.
Why not just stop subsidizing single mothers.. this is a self-correcting problem if we let single mother kids starve.. or simply stop paying the dreggs for having baby criminals Take away their goodie bag.. and add more trash collectors because these BW will just toss the baby in the trash

Starting about a decade ago there was an explosion in drug/opioid use in those upscale, trendy neighborhoods that gradually attracted the 'ne'er do wells' to those areas. So now they are targeting the communities who lured them there for the wrong reasons.

When you have a culture that respects strict gun laws, then that means that there is far less need for mass manufacturing of guns, which in turn - will decrease the chances of more guns getting into the hands of the wrong people. Usually the problem with most countries can be traced to it's culture, and the way it's citizens have been brought up, and what they've been taught to think. Americans have taught to think that guns are a "god given right." That guns are sacred and that our constitution is sacred. That is completely false, and is a recipe for disaster. The way to solve the gun problem , isn't more guns. It's changing the culture - and until that happens, then nothing will get better.

@@dawereck2903 There have been 38 school shootings in the past ten YEARS (Source: Gun Violence Archive). There are that many shootings in one WEEKEND in Chicago alone, let alone adding up the rest of the major cities in the U.S. Nice try at deflection, you poor racially profiled victim.

Lol@ all these hardcore trumpnuts in the chat. My uncle retired from CPD because of the corruption he saw in the government (Gov Rod Era) and amongst his fellow officers. After talking to ex-colleagues and interviewing officers from other states/countries and comparing statistics, the police system def needs a wholeass revision. Overhaul for more jobs, not just tacking 50 onto one officer and hoping he can relay it to 50 other people or worse, expect dispatch to answer. Tell citizens they are free to leave during introductions. To establish you reasonably believe they are innocent until proven guilty. Obviously blood on hands, tweaking off a drug (not medical condition), etc. Should be handled ASAP. People need to stop blaming either the government or the officers and blame both.
