It's easy to sit back, point fingers and judge or criticize without ever having seen drug/alcohol addiction up close. It's a real disease that affects millions of people worldwide, but those suffering from it are otherized and quickly labeled as "junkies" who should "just say no," cos saying no is so easy when your life circumstances, peer pressure, genetic disposition, and environment all play into what is actually a very complex disease. When I see people like this, I just feel sorry for them.
You feeling sorry for them is exactly what people like you are describing want. It increases and confirms their perception that somehow they're a victim. This is why the world is so fucked up. So many thousands/millions embracing a "poor me" victimhood complex. This leads to a sense of entitlement; "the world owes me for my hardship so I don't care anymore", which then leads to bad behaviour, crime, acting out/stealing from and harming others. Don't make excuses for them. It only makes them feel more sorry for themselves. Everyone on this planet has the choice to do something, OR to not do something. Nobody said saying "no" is easy but not only do people do it every single day, it's not like we don't have enough examples throughout history to know what drugs/drink will do to you. Convincing yourself that you had no other choice is a total cop-out! By convincing yourself that you're a victim all you do is imprison yourself. You are set to fail forever!!! Instead, choose to take responsibility for yourself and you will set yourself free from all the pain that caused you to make those bad decisions.
It goes to show how talented he truly is if he was just picked up in the street and did great movies like T2,American history x,pet cemetery,tales from the crypt,Detroit rock city, pecker....aerosmith video....he's very talented and I won't tolerate anyone bringing up his personal life

I think he is still good looking. Obviously he is not gonna look 15 now, like cmon. He looks good for his age. People only think he doesnt because they are comparing him to a fresh faced, pretty 15 year old boy.

Hollywood likes to throw away child actors once they get to a certain age despite them being really talented and unfortunately a lot of people like to remember the stars the way they were from big movies. Therefore they dont get offered as good films or the films are good but just not popular.
look I love this guy...he's the movie version of me...i'm a recovering smack addict myself though and both his career and his personal life have picked up a few stains...he doesn't do major films anymore but I really like some of his direct to video movies Jimmy and Judy was a great film that few have seen...I see him and just think...90's...he's an icon of that time period for sure but it's just not being real to act like he's perfect or has been clean n sober his whole life...he'd admit it

Even if he werent an addict, he still would have changed.He was never tall, he was never tough or bodybuild. I find very attractive his pale skin and his soft body. First off he's not a washed up actor....he has the ability to get work doing anything....he just has his personal issues....and if he decides not to act anymore that's his problem...he's not even a true actor....he was picked up he's a natural and never took lessons

your right, im a fan of his movies i liked pretty much all of them but i honestly wouldnt even want his autograph it would seem pretty meaningless to me. i dont think i would even care at all if i had it and i dont think anyone would even know who he is that stopped over if they saw it. id have to say you know the boy from terminator 2 20 years ago
Thats not entirely true. We all know how forgiving Hollywood is, albeit, cruel in the process, but.....yes, he needs an intervention but I think if he re-branded himself and got healthy, he would pick up right were he left off, and do very well. He's his own underdog, people love him, believe it or not. I wish him well.

he's just a heroin addict..its no big deal i don't know why people freak out about it. i mean he was a child actor in LA. you would do heroin too if everytime you went to the gas station the clerk asked you about a movie you did 25 years ago, and really don't even care about. He used to be so beautiful. Even sexy. Now he looks like he's been doing drugs for ages, and the way he sounds, his voice has changed with it also. So sad. I don't think he's ever gonna act in movies again.
