OMG yessssss. Absolutely the greatest two bands ever. Together. I'd have loved to have been there too. Listening to very 1st songs outro, goose bumps on top of goose bumps. Only 1 regret, wish Terry Kath could've been there. That would've made it seriously complete.

@@ronlefty I felt sorry for that keyboard player , that's the problem with these bands some still have it and some don't ...song hard habit to break by Chicago, that man single handly ruined that song and anytime he opened his mouth..

Can't agree, Parliament Funkadelic horns when Fred Wesley and Maceo Parker were members were probably the most talented. Tower of Power horn section, however, probably the best if I had to choose. Also, most people only know about EWF hits but they have a huge catalog of jazz/instrumental songs where extended horn solos that far exceed anything Chicago did (or that I'm aware of). Examples EWF Check out the Gratitude Album with live recordings of "Africano/Power" "Sun Goddess "and " New World Symphony." Also see "Running" "Rock That" "Bijo" and although not an instrumental, the horn driven "Magic Mind" are a few where you can really see hear chops. BTW, Im not talking about the type of music preferred but about the skill of the musicians. The original EWF horns with Don Myrick, Louis Satterfield and Rshmlee Davis were extraordinary musicians. I don't think the gap you think exists is there. But I could be wrong. If you have examples of Chicago Horns showing similar or greater virtuosity please let me know. I may be guilty of what I thnk you are guilty of, simply being unaware. As an old failed horn player, I'm open minded and can be convinced.

I saw the Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire concert at the Concord Pavilion. It was the same set with EWF going first followed by Chicago. It was entertaining and fun! 🎶

The magic here is, we are super blessed to have a wonderful digital library of songggs! That will live on, forever! In the words of Neil Young. "Hey hey, my my." "Rock and Roll can NEVER die!" 💯. 👻☠️🗽💯🙏

Not the same without the original band members of the 1970’s and 1980’s. Most missing are the original founding members and LEAD, Earth, Wind and Fire with Maurice White and Chicago with Peter Cetera.

I stumbled upon this concert. What a gem! And these guys are touring together this summer, too! Glad to see original Chicago guys still rocking. We all still miss Terry but this was great!

My nephew (17) plays the trombone, I took him to see them!! My brother says he jams Chicago secretly in his room now :-) He's a teen, it just wouldn't be cool to jam to a band from the 70's ;-) How can you not....

EWF is NOT the same without MAURICE WHITE and CHICAGO without PETER CETERA. It would have been much better with the ORIGINAL BANDS. Go watch the 1970’s and 1980’s Earth, Wind and Fire and Chicago. They cannot be MATCHED by the replacements. Only 3 members of Earth, Wind and Fire was on this 2004 band and Chicago only had 4 original members. These guys are good but not close to the origjnal band members.

@@hungmeow8284 Agree that the bands aren't the same but this fabulous show was just not going to happen with all the original members. Maurice had serious health issues and had stopped performing long before this show. Peter split with his band, and wouldn't even appear with them at their induction into the RnR Hall of Fame Ceremony even though the band wanted him to and welcomed him. So it is what it is, these guys got together, and did an amazing job of playing their bands music live! Bravo!

@@brucewizjam3618 It is a sad thing with great bands. So many original members either split up or pass away. Just EWF alone lost Andrew Wolfolk and Ralph White recently. I do not know how Rolling Stones managed to stay together and stay alive 57 yrs or so 😊
