11 years ago I was a “Rookie” within a Fire department. We work our ass off. I had to leave to go peruse my Career as a firefighter. But my last call one of my buddy’s fell threw the roof on a ventilation crew. We lost him that day, and this video is the one that remembers us of him. God bless to all the first responders out there.
I am sorry for your loss , but don’t they call you candidates and rookies are for police officers? So what fire department do you work at now ? And do you work on the truck ?
@@jamesgaming7867 oh really cool 😎. So You’re the boss now , hmmm ok 👍 I want to ride on the fire truck ok ! 🤣. I am being serious , so don’t forget about me.
So you were a rookie at a fire department and had to leave to "peruse" (I am guessing you meant pursue) your career as a fire fighter? Thankfully, you can remembers him when you watch this video. Now you are a BC but you incorrect words throughout your comment? I would hate to read a fire report from you.
I like how with the line " They called me and told me it's MY officer down" they used the clip of Shay, with Dawson and Kelly doing CPR. In a way she was thiers ..
As the wife of a Firefighter this is one of my worst fears. Every time he goes out I tell him I love him and to be safe every time he has a call out even in the middle of the night or if were in the middle of a argument.
I've been a volunteer firefighter for 10-12 years. And I won't change a second of it. Being a firefighter is one of the most amazing and wonderful things I could do with my life.
I was blessed to achieve and graduate the fire academy and sheriff's academy, served 19 years until on a traffic stop the suspect drove his vehicle and pinned my hand against the truck and my vest and substain a injury to my hand was never able to fire my weapon and was placed on duty related injury.Forced to retire yet i gave my all and loss a few, prayers to my family may they continue to be protected and cover.
8 years US Navy Corpsman.. going on 27 years Law Enforcement.. I have been to Military Funerals and Police Funeral.. TOO many. Stay safe brothers and sisters. Watch each others back. Keep vigilant. Never Give Up
To all my first responder brothers, soldiers and veterans who know what is like to lose a comrade. I miss you every day my brother Rip Rogelio till Valhalla
40 years ago, I was a junior member of a volunteer fire company, at the tender age of 16. I did it, because all my friends in school were doing it... We were true "Townies", and we were proud. My time with the Fire Department was short lived, because I had a real problem with heat inside a burning building... and I had a real issue with heights... Unfortunately, those are critical elements needed in the true nature of the job of "Firefighter". Still... this song is a TRUE TRIBUTE to ALL FIRST RESPONDERS, and I will always be proud to have been among the proudest of the East Greenwich Volunteer Fire Department, Station 1... East Greenwich, RI............. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to all Firefighters, Everywhere!!!
@@user-md5sv5zo2qyou know that is a fucked up remark and to me and I am sure alit of people who read your dumbass ignorant mindset will take a second thought and think 🤔, yeah it is for all First responders because they all put their lives on the line to help save us civilians. You didn’t write the song or sing it , you didn’t say you were a firefighter or a police officer so please don’t talk shit and disregard and disrespect the ones who put themselves out on the line to save us. Think about that the next time you or someone you care about is in a life or death situation!
that made us all cry how sad losing Otis. I was there in Chicago saw the orig firestation standing outside nov 13 sunday it was 22 degrees outside and a ambulance drove in waved at me while I was standing outside there ...was hoping I could be invited inside to see the kitchen area and it was pretty awesome ...close to china town .
this is kinda random from vid but this show has showed me that I do want to help people and i do want to be a paramedic/firefighter, even tho im only a freshmen in high school :)
I grew up in a firefighter family it’s not weird at all it’s good that you know what you want to do at such a young age now do what you can to stay on that track and it could very well happen
Good for you 😊 follow your dreams and don’t let nothing get in the way and put your mind and heart into it and keep your faith in God and watch how awesome your life journey can unfold. I am so happy and proud and it will take a lot of hard work but all the best things in life do and also when you like helping others it is the best feeling ❤ God bless you young one ❤
Officially, the CFD wouldn’t give Benny Severide the ceremony that Kelly wanted for him because he didn’t pass away while on the job. Chief Boden made some calls and pulled in a few favors so they could have a little service of their own.
This was really well done!! One of the scenes on here reminded me of the time when Severide and another fire-fighter were trapped in one spot and Casey was trapped in another! Now for some reason, only known to producers and scriptwriters, the fire-fighter trapped with Severide was never seen or heard of again, and only Casey got recognition for his efforts!! Weird, just weird!!!
e visto la serie toda completa como 20 veces y en cada capitulo donde mueren o les pasa algo lloro como si fuera la primera vez que la veo los siento parte de mi familia
Being a firefighter and being a paramedic is in my family a family buisness my grand father, father and me all of us are firefighters. I became a voluntarily firefighter at the age of 15 and a paramedic 5 years later, best job i could have dreamd of❤ God Bless firefighters and paramedics all over the world
I would so love to be a police officer to protect the firefighters and the paramedics for their good work because they help and protect the city they deserve to be protected 👍
We may pick on one another and talk a lot of smack. At the end of the day I know you’d help us in a heartbeat just as we would help you in a heartbeat. Forever brothers and sisters.
I got to say this if anyone of you are firefighter’s sorry for what I’m about to say every firefighter’s nightmare is losses one of there own it’s hard when you hear over the radio firefighter down you do everything you can to help but when you sighed up when you put that suit on you transform into fire hungry dogs who don’t quit until that fire out but Chicago fire session 5 episode 22 when Casey Herman moutch where pinned in that factory every one outside was wanting to go in there to help out but chief said no so after me seeing that episode the last 5 minutes of it were sad when Matt was saying his goodbye to gabby she wasn’t ready for him to go so after me seeing that episode I feel every firefighter who lossed someone it’s hard to get over just know you were born for this
Yesterday my state had to say goodbye to an firefighter my parents told it was the most powerful moment they have witness attending a funeral for anyone
To my brothers who gave the ultimate sacrifice: Shawn Blazer, 30, of Medford, OR Scott Charlson, 25, of Phoenix, OR Edrik Gomez, 19, of Ashland, OR Matt Hammer, 23, of Grants Pass, OR Steven Caleb Renno, 21, of Cave Junction, OR Bryan Rich, 29, of Medford, OR David Steele, 19, of Ashland, OR Roark Schwanenberg, 54, from Lostine, OR Jim Ramage, 64, from Redding, CA I was there that day on the Iron Alps fire in 2008, when your helicopter went down. It's been 15 years now, and I have not forgotten you.
I seing this happened on F.B.I when the hewd of the fugitive task force got shot in the neck and he died a few seconds after help arrived and they told his wife who were planing a trip for both of them I almost cried because he was my favourite person on the show
I think everyone in the show by now, except Carver has either almost died or actually died Who else thinks that every cast member that still there has had an accident that almost killed them where they almost I left the show where everyone has almost died, and the people that actually have died and other than Carver. I think they have all has horrible accidents where it has almost milled them and I think the only reason Carver hasn’t had one yet is because he’s so new and I don’t give it long before it’s his turn to have an accident that either almost kills him or actually does kill him
