@@courtneylomax5180 They meant that in the pilot Matt and Hallie were originally supposed to be already married, not engaged. My guess is that they didn't like the optics for Dawson, having her obsessing over a married man, so they changed it.

@@courtneylomax5180 yes I know. I was talking about the pilot and that they were supposed to be married (cause Matt's ring), but then in the next episodes writers changed it to them just being engaged.
