no real battle, just some amazin footworkin. This was with MOB, TS, Wolf Pac, Litebulb, Deryon, Stepz, Manny, just a whole bunch of dope cats. Watch it fools!
Find it funny how some people hate on this dance style so much when they wouldn't even last less than a quarter round with these cats. Chi town put it on! Good shit people!
@Chucck Dos cap Chicago started the Chicago step or Western swing and the footwork just give credit where credit is due people look at the chi like it all about murder and killing but little do people know Chicago got beautiful cultures, food and a rich history if you do some research
behinderteleberwurst this dance may not be a world trend, but there are many trends in the world that have been set by kids in the hood, such as hip hop, breakdancing, drill music etc.
behinderteleberwurst I guess you haven't been noticing the Korean dance scene... Dancers in dance battles over there trying to emulate this and many other hip-hop styles. Dance battles are kinda popular there, and their dancers try to emulate styles like footworking. Also, you've got dancers footworkin' in places like France, picking up on the style, incorporating into their routines.
Real Chicago Culture......we created these dances from house music....its beyond smooth to see something positive about my city for once.....South Side
I'm a True Schooler and the legends did drop that, But I was listening to it when they first dropped it on the radio, but they dropped more than European music, alot of what they dropped came from Italo-Disco (which ain't really mentioned in Europe as it should be) and from Canada, as well as Indie labels from the U.S. at the time. Drum N' Bass was first called Jungle right? and not really played anywhere until Hip-Hop DJ's and Turntablists start puttin' them in their sets and at Raves. Because Techno was takin' over internationally 90-97. And Chicago was still creating other styles of House Music with the latest being Juke/Footwork. Ah well.
Jungle preceded drum & bass, like mento preceded ska; they are different styles, not two labels for a single style. The popularization of jungle was not dependent on hip-hop djs or turntablists. The various styles of rave music, including jungle, were popularized at raves, on UK pirate radio, and via mixtapes.
