Video of my 2/4 march, "The 79th Farewell to Gibraltar", from the 2024 Chicago Games. I wasn't very happy with this run, had a few clipped notes and a choke (where the chanter cut out). It still managed to get 5th out of 15 competitors.
Judges remarks:
-Drones in tune, holding
-Chanter OK, holding
-Tempo/flow average, a little inconsistent. Steady, holding
-Musicality flat
-A little erratic/inconsistent in dot/cut treatment
-Underblowing/choke
-Tachum execution
-Biggest overall item to address is the inconsistent treatment of dot/cut pairs throughout tune. You soften up ones with hand changes or with more technical demand
