It would be a surprise if Elliott Stabler & Hank Voight met during a case that takes either Stabler to Chicago or Voight to New York City and that Voight gets surprised to hear that Stabler was Olivia Benson's partner for more than a decade and that he was in the United States Marine Corps before joining the NYPD.

Problem with Chicago pd and svu crossover is that svu is more grounded in reality. If cpd would be as realistic after first season entire department would be in jail with badges stripped

Here's a cross-over that I personally think would have been awesome: Criminal Minds and Numb3rs. You know that Spencer and Charlie would have gotten along instantly. And I can honestly see it now: Spencer and Charlie speaking "Brainiac", and David Rossi throwing up his hands in exasperation and saying "GREAT! Now there's TWO of them!!" Hahaha. Or a Chicago PD and Hawaii 5-0 cross-over.

I know this is just random as heck, but I absolutely love the voice of Jason Beghe (Sorry for the spelling, English isn't my first language). I find that it fits the character's gruff but genuine attitude well!

🤔I often hear people talk about about Hank's voice but Erin also has a raspy voice for a young woman. Monday was a great CPD marathon on USA. Each episode is different, engaging and despite the storyline they have can have some laughable moments. After seeing a colab of SVU on CPD I notice the lighting on CPD is much better. On SVU it's always dark and dismal. 🥺

Jason Beghe's voice (Hank) was caused by an infection. He was in an accident years back and he kept removing the tube placed down his throat at the hospital. He didnt sound like that in 'Monkey Shines'.

😎 I like most people know the unfortunate backstory of Jason Beghe voice and how often people still comment about his voice. I think it works great for his character. It's Sophia Bush voice few ever mention. She's talented regardless. Really miss her on CPD as well as the soft voice of Al.

It's quite an extended universe. All the L&O shows, the Chicago shows, Homicide LOTS & by extension The Wire(which dropped a few nods to Homicide + Munch's cameo to suggest they're in the same timeline). St. Elsewhere also appeared during the Homicide series finale movie. I don't count X-Files due to Munch saying he watched the show. Who knows, maybe he got an in-universe spot acting in an episode.

So L&O: SU crossovered with Chicago PD which also crossover with Chicago Med at times.. Isn't the Chicago Med head of patient care (Sharon Goodwin) and L&O's former commander of dectectives (Anita van Buren) the same actress?? I'd love to see how Benson would react to seeing Goodwin!
