I think a main reason why Jay hasn’t confessed his feelings for her yet is because him a and Erin jumped into a realationship really quickly and he was very in love but then it blew up and he doesn’t want that to happen again.

Unpopular opinion but I feel like linstead happened too fast and they were more flirty with each other and all about their chemistry. where’s upstead feels like a more mature relationship with that has a really solid foundation because it is such a slow burn. It wasn’t an instant attraction thing with these two and you could see them slowly starting to feel things over the past 3 seasons which imo is the best ship
I agree! Erin and jay rushed it and that is why jay hasn’t told hailey yet. He doesn’t want her to leave him like Erin did even though she may be leaving to go to the fbi now
I love these two so much. I have loved their friendship and partnership and how they have both grown so much since they first met. I just hope the writers do them justice and hopefully have a nice storyline for the next 3 seasons. Love this video amazing job

Just imagen if Sophia (Erin) Didn’t leave the show yet the #upstead relationship might not even be a thing because jay was so in love with Erin so if she didn’t leave then Upstead might not have even become a thing
I know I'm about to get some heat for this comment, but if you choose to read it read it all the way through. Chicago pd, med, and fire were all recently confirmed to get three seasons. My thought is Jay gets into a relationship with someone else similarly to what Ruzek and Upton had sometime this season or next, then they start building towards Upstead. This in turn would show us how Hailey reacts to Jay in a relationship. Because when Ruzek and Upton got into a relationship that's when in my opinion her and Jay honestly started drifting apart in their personal lives not professionally though.
I read somewhere that we would get Upstead this season (like a kiss or something), but they had to stop filming the show because of the virus. but I totally respect your opinion as well, I would love to see how Jay's relationship would affect to Hailey. 🙌🏼
I hate that they might be sending her away as well. First Erin and now her. The girls he love just love to break him. They may not know what he went through coming back from the war but he went through grief and went through a drinking all the time phase and he will break again from the amount of stuff we went through

This song is a little dragged out & slow so I'm not a big fan of it but great video overall. These 2 really need to get together eventually. I'm starting to get A bit tired of repeats in relationships especially on PD .
NOPE, they built since season 5 a strong relationship that you can call " partnership" or "friendship" but for the season 8 they will have a love relationship that I can't wait for because I'm sure it will be a powerful love relationship , I think hailley will be the last lover for jay , I hope I'm right and seeing them married for season 9 or 10... #UPSTEAD
NOPE , both of them dated their partner before and both of them were in love to their partner ( ERIN (for Jay) / GARETT( for Hailey) ). Then, Upton dated Rusek without thinking that actually she has love feelings for him. After Erin departure (Ex girlfriend of JAY) he dated a girl named CAMELIA but she was going to jail ans she didn't forgive him about lying to her ... Actually, it's hard for Jay and Hailey to live a love relationship because they can't stop protecting people that they love. ,Hailey and Jay are similar for this.. if they're dating that would be very intersting to watch and I would be the first curious to see how they will protect each other when they will be couple because #UPSTEAD love would be a damn powerful feeling🔥
I feel like I’m the only one, but lowkey I don’t want them together. I would rather it be like Severide and Shay. Two best friends who know each other better than anyone else. Obviously I’m fine with the fact that they’ll end up together, but I really wish the explored deep, platonic love more, between opposite genders. Idk, maybe I’m just tired of the whole fall in love with your partner storyline
