The so-called leaders in Chicago have had forty years to do something with the still spectacular and largely intact Uptown Theater, and all they do is talk, talk, talk----then talk some more. This is the greatest movie palace that has ever existed in the world, and it deserves to be restored just because it is a peerless work of art itself. Restore the damn thing or tear it down!
@@ChicagoMovieTours I just drove by Uptown Theater a few minutes ago. They had the door open bc of filming. I remember one summer I walked past and got to see inside. I really wish they had public tours but probably a health risk. I really wish they would restore it already.
