This was the best game from the Fever all year. Balanced effort by Clark, Mitchell, Boston, and Smith as everyone was locked in offensively. The best thing for the Fever though is Boston and Clark’s chemistry in the pick and roll Chicago had no clue how to guard it and it led to amazing offense.
I think Boston began ROUGH AF, at the start of the season. She is starting to get her strength and endurance back, I think. She's looking more mobile, athletic and skillful, imo. I think THAT is a huge part of why they are finally seeing some degree of success. Schedule etc played a role BUT, some of the ladies were NOT ready for the season, I believe, and I think that CRIPPLED not only them but, also their teammates, including Clark.

@@RR-tq4sn Mitchell is just naturally a VERY TALENTED and offensive-minded scorer. Smith, I wish would pass earlier and a little more. She does miss teammates sometimes but, she her offensive-mindedness is because she is SOMETHING of a scorer too. I would not label anyone of them as playing "hero ball".
They were the last place team 2 years ago, and 3rd from the last in 2023. They did improve last year, and I think they should beat last years record of 13-27 this year if they get a little more rest. They have played more games than any other W team.
Please pass that on to her fans because they appear to still get upset when she doesn’t have a decent scoring game even in victory. I thought it was a team sport. You can find other ways to contribute to your team when you’re having a low scoring game. That’s one of the unique beauties about the game of basketball.

That's really her special quality. A lot of players can hit 3s. Clark's passing and court vision is really well developed IMO. People will go on and on about TOs but that's more game management and recognition vs. passing skills and court vision.
The haters always say “all she does is jack up 3s”… meanwhile she led the NCAA in assists 3 years in a row. Thats crazy when youre also leading the nation in scoring at the same time.
HUGE NBA Knicks fan here....Never knew a single player or watched a single WNBA game until Caitlin Clark, sure. But guess what? Im a Fever fan now. Watching CC these past few weeks has been great but the team is building chemistry and is getting really fun to watch. I'll be rooting for them for the rest of the season.

CC picked them apart with 9 assists. Like the one that sealed the game. And was clutch in the last 5 mins of the 4th with a key block, assists, and 3. Not to mention perfect 6-6 on FT’s including the flagrant.
Complaint about highlights: most of the offensive plays were focused on the Sky, not Fever. Why is that? Although there were some good offensive rebounds in the first half. Just didn't seem evened out between the 2 teams in terms of these highlights.
Fever looking like a team now. Everybody was on point. It's amazing how CC drives through everyone and gets to the basket. They should know by now when she rushes you it is followed by a pullback 3. Smith was a beast. Mitchell a baller for real. AB done got her groove back.
Let’s see if they can maintain it when they come up against a better team. When they beat the mystics everyone was saying this then they turned into pumpkins their next game. Let’s hope that they can keep improving. 😊
Don't forget to give some credit to Hull and Samuelson. Decent defense on trying to slow down Marina Mabry(who is a deadly shooter ), hustle plays and timely 3s kept the momentum going.
Agreed, in the early games it seemed like the fever didn’t really have a defensive plan for shutting down key players but it looks like they’re getting better
The Fever are a small and not very athletic team. They get killed on the boards usually it seems. Opposing teams seem to shoot at a high percentage against them too so it looks like they are not good defensively. Given those flaws/shortcomings, whatever they can make up with hustle and using their personnel strengths is a positive. Maybe the success is result of practice together. Also, they may not match up well against some teams like the Suns and liberty.
since Can'twin Clark is a liability on defense, it's a good idea to pair her with Lexie Hull whenever she's on the floor --- Hull is a good defensive player who can make up for Can'twin's terrible defense & contain the opposing team's guards & smaller forwards
At one point in the game they tried to punk Caitlin clark but a teammate stepped in and got her back and no technical fouls were given ... but finally her teammates are protecting her
What a performance by Fever. Clark, Boston, Mitchell and Smith were absolutely outstanding. Overall as a team, everyone played brilliantly. Back to back wins, hopefully a third against the Mystics on Thursday.

@@LadyCeCeFromThaDirty How many of these double doubles result in wins? Reese has 7 double doubles this season that have resulted in 1 win and 6 losses. Chicago is 3-3 when she doesn't get a double double. So it seems the more Reese does, the less they win.

It was 83-86 with 30 seconds left, and Reese and Carter were watching CC on the perimeter to help Mabrey and that left Smith wide open in the dunker spot. CC delivered pass on the money and Smith finished. Game over.

This is a special player in how she sees the floor, can control the flow of the game, can hit shots from anywhere, can make passes from anywhere and once in a while even comes up with a big defensive play. Yet, she's resilient if you want to get physical with her and lets her game do the talking while in the media, she's polished and doesn't get sucked into the media circus. That, is special.

All the Caitlin Clark hate just makes me root for her more. Everyone is going to have bad games, especially their rookie year when you’re playing Liberty, Aces and Sun 8 times in your first 15 games. Time for everyone to grow up and encourage each other. You can both be great, if you feel like Clark gets all the attention then give people a reason to pay attention to you. Im a gamecocks fan, a CC fan, Aliyah Edwards Fan but not a WNBA this is the 1st year ever that i search for a WNBA highlights...And youtube can attest to that😂😂😂 The WNBA and other players should recognize that these rookies are the one who brought them viewers and they should take advantage of it
Absolutely agree. Whatever the media narrative is on CC vs AR either way the vast vast majority of new viewers are fans of all these girls from college following them into the pros. This is the first time the WNBA has actually had like storylines and drama and shit that's what you need to make something more popular and accessible

This was almost Iowa Hawkeyes like, Clark on n off the ball, timely three's, great ball movement for easy assists, constant movement by players not having the ball, they looked more fluid in their game plan then they've been. If they can do this more often then the league will see how good this team can be.
This was personal for CC she was balling. And sgout out to AB who has finally woken up and is actually dominanting the paint and grabbing boards. The fever might have a big 3 in the making with AB,CC and KM.

@@cmn225 I actually watched the game, flagrant fouls happen, but they are not good for the game. I expected another attitude, she was like I didn't touch her. She can ball, but Draymond Green's behavior is not good for her, the team, the league nor the sport. Referees know and she will lose in appreciation calls. I know more basketball than you ever imagined, she can be your favorite player, but be objective!
This was the best game of the Fever. The Clark Boston connection with the pick in roll, kick out by Boston or Clark to the shooter, screens by Boston to free Clark for the shot full movement through the offense, great coaching and team defense. They looked really good. This is the first game I felt Clark trusted her team, no low turnovers because she finally realized there Allstars on this team, she doesn't need to do too much. Great win for the Fever.
#1 on the Fever is a black hole. She will have 3 or 4 defenders on her and will still go up with it. Players wide open at the 3 while she's double teamed and will still go up with it
Who, Mitchell? Yes, when she has the ball she's firmly of the opinion that the person best placed to score is herself. She could be hanging upside down from the jumbotron with her foot trapped and it would be the same.

Clark has been picked up full court and blitz 57 times this season.* I don’t think she’s overrated one bit, I’ve never witnessed that happen to any player in the WNBA and I’ve been watching since 1999. That speaks volumes of what opposing coaches and players think of her as a threat. I’ve never witnessed a player make a free throw and run to face guard Clark not realizing that she (Aari) had one more free throw 🤦🏽. This is exactly why CC is getting paid while the WNBA is projected to lose $50 million this year. Brand recognition matters.

I am really impressed with Boston and the report she's developing with Caitlin. I would not know anything about Boston, probably never would until this year happened.
Indiana is playing better because the ball is finally moving around and the Fever are finally realizing that Boston is a really good young player also . And happy that CC is cutting down on her turnovers and handling the pressures of the agenda pushers .
They are playing better because they've had some rest and practice after the hectic start of their season, 11 games in 20 days while some teams had half that. Also Caitlin came straight from college, they had little practice and she was put in charge of the offense without having a command of the offense, or knowing her teammates.

I think that the Fever ought to adopt the Steve Kerr design and have lots of passing around the key, but all of the players need to keep moving so one can take a shot when they get it. They aren’t big enough to do lots of post play. Kaitlin will work really well in this type of system. I notice players not moving to a new place when they pass the ball off.
These are the types of games the WNBA needs! Rivals, close scores, back and forth momentum! Too many of them turn out to be blowouts that are done before the 4th quarter.
It was two mediocre teams playing. That beats a mediocre team playing a top team which leads to blowouts. Two top teams tend to be so physical, they're not that enjoyable. Even A'ja Wilson's Aces team isn't that much fun to watch. Seattle is pretty fun to watch but they're physical also.

Mabrey is money! I love her game! It's really hard to watch these two teams battle against each other because I'm CC and Kamilla's big fan. I love them both. Fever on the rise. Looking forward to seeing them make to the playoffs.

Think, in and out of the low post plays with Reese as: 1. Weber - assist pass or skyhook/stepback jumper - Evans/Desheilds. 2. Malone - fade a way shot/pick and roll - Carter. 3. Olajuwon - up and under/right or left pivot, spin, dropstep/ kickout 3's - Marbrey.
Honesty, Clark should go play overseas. Her fans would follow her, the league would actually appreciate her, and the WNBA players, coaches, and analysts would get what they want (which is Clark out of the league and they would realize the impact she had and the jealousy and envy they harbor. One, Nike and the other U.S. corporations aren't paying her all that $$ to only play overseas. Two, how would her fans follow her? How many Euro league games have you seen on TV? Clark needs the W and the W needs her.

The internet exists, and yes, her fan base is loyal and would follow her wherever she goes. 3. Or, she could play for the Big 3 and get paid millions instead of thousands in the WNBA. Clark doesn't need the WNBA. She's already a millionaire and was before signing her contract with the Fever. The WNBA, on the other hand, could actually be profitable this year for the first time in it's existence. That's due in very large part to the eyes and wallets Clark has brought to the game. Angel had a nice pump fake is this game, it's funny because Reese isn't known for being a 3 point shooter and yet her defender still fell for it. Kamila can post up tho she is such a good centre and Chennedy has a nice jump shot. The Fever was outstanding tho, Aliyah, Kelsey, Smith and Clark are great together. Sometimes it can be difficult to get noticed at first when your playing next to a rising star but if you win enough games and make enough noise you'll get noticed. It's not just CC the team as a whole was incredible
