1998-99 was the best era for trance music! Songs would just take you to another place of pure euphoric! Was only 16 when this was played takes me back 😢
You can feel a state of euphoria , Masterpiece by Chicane , Awesome Crowd before Mobile cameras , People blending with the music & sensational live performance what an era , Just outstanding a piece of art .
I was born in 1998. My mother played trance mixes to her belly when she was pregnant. Of course, this was the music I listened to during my early years. It's such a sad feeling for me. I remember this music for longer than I’m alive (literally). And I know I won’t be able to feel what people in this video feel, even once in my life. It’s just impossible. The music has changed, everyone owns an iPhone, and the sense of individuality has overcome collective joy. It makes me really sad.
I have a feeling you will be able to enjoy a night of beautiful trance just like it is depicted here in this video. The key is to be around the right people at the right time when the music is happening. I'll give you an example. If you meet the love of your life, and you two are connecting with each other with a beautiful song like this in the background, by a beach at 3 am. If and when you do get your moment, with this type of music, don't take it for granted and enjoy every bit of it
I was 14. As soon as I saw the announcements on MTV roughly three months before the festival, a VHS was already selected and reserved for the noble act of recording this pure bliss. Long live to the 90's!
25 years after I first heard this I still listen to Chicane every day. Far From The Maddening Crowds is my favourite album of all time, closely followed by ESCM by BT. Magical times!
Beautiful live version of this classic, I would say the definitive version. I've been to Ibiza from 2015-2019 and I wish the Balearic uplifting stuff was back
Ibiza, where is your soul? Ibiza, where is your magic? Ibiza, where are my friends? Ibiza, where is your music? I travel to Ibiza to find myself and found these melodies. Please Ibiza, with the help of our godess Tanit, help these young people to find her spiritual way of life, recover the island we dreamed.
balearick amibence!! genius of the master chacaine.. the tender guitar riffs and tender piano notes is mind blowing..wish i was there to see this ..goose bumps watching this video
classic, this is a class of its own and never will come back, nick, you are the master and my timekeeper, those times are in my brain forever, greets from northern germany
think the 90s dance era will never ever feel old.....the 80s tunes feel out dated now but i bet by the time we get to 2050 ppl will still be slamming the 90s choons
99... had lived over 10 years in the US, was heading back to Europe, got married (WTF), lived the next 10+ years in the middle east, and now between Tenerife (Canary islands) and Europe... Life rocks, sometimes it goes sideways. Getting older isn't for p...ies...
Смотришь на это и слезы льются, какое же время золотое, в какую парашу превратили EDM сцену, не без помощи старичков, за чикейна ничего плохого сказать не могу
Makes me smile that I was around. The last hoorah before it irreversibly changed for the worse. All good things will pass but to be there with my memories makes things easier
It's technically EDM, but this was before the EDM name was completely poisoned by soulless garbage. (Don't get me wrong: there was already a lot of soulless mainstream shit in the 90s, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as today)
Un titre mythique de la scène électronique des 90's. Une nappe synthétique grandiose, une vague climatique qui monte en puissance, une autre époque, un crescendo phénoménal
Yeah spotted him right away too. You just hear that every Disco Citizen remix/edit of Chicane's choons are dripping with his sound. Such a shame he only did so few tracks on his own. :(
