I drove an hour (Bolton to New London) to eat at Jack’s establishment a couple of times. It was worth the trip. He and his daughter couldn’t have been more gracious and the food and drinks were fabulous. Rest in Peace Jack. You are missed.
You’re a good man, Daddy Jack. There is a kindness so infectious from you, it’s no wonder people love you so much. Cheers and keep cranking out the classics!
Daddy Jack, I’ve been watching you for a couple of years now and have been sharing with my family and friends. My momma and my brother and sister agree that the way you cook reminds us all of how my grandfather worked the kitchen. He was very, very good at what he did. He was notorious for dirtying up every pot, pan, and everything else in the kitchen. Man do we miss him and his cooking. Thank you Jack, and God bless.
Daddy Jack...you have no idea how much your cooking videos mean to me. I've got cancer & I've been doing chemo since December 2018. When I'm doing my chemo treatments I watch your cooking videos & the 4 hr treatment times seems to fly by...THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! Usually while I'm doing my treatments, I've got other patients asking what I'm watching...I show them your videos...I've got 2 friends that I do treatments with that have subscribed to you already!!! After my treatments & when I start feeling better later in the week...I try to cook one of your recipes for my daughter...SHE LOVES YOU TO... THANKS AGAIN FOR MAKING THIS CHEMO A LITTLE MORE BEARABLE. Much love from Mobile Alabama.
I wish I had known this man. I discovered his channel maybe a month ago. This is serious cooking! What a great larger than life personality to go with it.
I've been binge-watching these Cooking with the Blues videos, and I have cranked up my stove-top kitchen game as a result. I'm getting compliments from friends and neighbors.
I honestly have no real clue who this great man was, I just caught up watching he's videos and thinking this guy is a REAL chef! No scanting with the ingredients, no measuring needed just pure touch doing these dishes in he's kitchen. I'm sad to hear that he has passed. I'm gonna try these dishes at home for he's honor. Rest in peace Chef, from Finland
Never too much garlic can be used for me Jack and the browner the better BROTHER. Your videos are helping me thru a time you GIANT OF A SPIRIT. May you Rest my friend. I wish i coulda met ya. From Skiatook Oklahoma I send my condolences to THE FAMILY.
Hello again from SPOKANE Washington Chef Chaplin ! I just want to clarify that it was over 20 years ago that I attended culinary school and then spent a couple of years in the industry ! I was then introduced to a direct sales opportunity that I have made my career ! Although I left the culinary field I have nothing but RESPECT for Chefs and all hospitality workers as most people couldn't walk a half day in your shoes , including myself !!! I have made food and wine a hobby of sorts now and have never forgot the lessons I was taught and I use these valuable lessons in cooking for friends and family which I'm called on to do quite often !! Maybe because no one else wants to peel potato's ?!! Chef Tobin , my basics and advanced basics instructor also taught us to treat all fellow employees with respect and to jump in wherever your needed and to leave any personal problems at the door ! This has helped me tremendously in my field over the years !! Once again , Respect to you Sir and keep those videos coming !
I think your one hell of a chef and an amazing guy. I love your recipes and made several of them. It's the warm way you greet patrons, family and friends that makes me wish I was there too🥰❤
Honestly Jack has become my fav on RU-vid. You said it in an episode I watched recently but you want to give the secrets others chefs try to keep... appreciate you Jack. Gonna try to come to the restaurant, used to have an uncle who lived in that area, beautiful state.
DADDY JACK my man. RIP. Cooking simple, easy, no bullshit meals anyone can do! Good for you for not appeasing these people out here complaining and talking crap. No frills, filters or b.s. just good wholesome for with a stort or 2 once in a while!
Daddy, I love you! Such a kind human being.... we need to show a huge amount of respect and gratitude to all the tradesmen out there who, without them, we’d all be shit up the creek without a paddle! If my plumbing, electric, heat or air go out they are my idols! This is just stuff you can barely live without. Love Mike Rowe for giving them the kudos they are due. BYTW, this recipe looks awesome!
Made your chicken Alfredo tonight, it was great! You are the best chef for comfort food and straight forward demonstrations. Can't wait to continue more of your recipes. Thank you!!!
Oh, wow.......I told my wife about you and that the chicken alfredo was something I wanted to learn just for her. You make it look very easy. Thank you for your culinary skills and having the generosity to showcase them on this format. The world owes you and Kent Rollins a debt. And Thomas Keller. And Bobby Flay. And Anthony Bourdain. And........Andrew Zimmern and so many others who share their skills. You inspire so many. Bon appetit!!
You are a good dude Jack. Way to show your homies some love and appreciation. You are absolutely right about the importance of maintaining good relationships with the right people. Keep up the good work!! Cooking with the blues!
Neh Neh Neh it’s golden brown had me cracking up! Absolutely love your cooking this channel and wish nothing but the best for you , your family and business! Absolutely a blessing being able to watch you
I could see this man getting his own show on a major network because he's funny but can hold your attention for 30 minutes....always upbeat and i love how he gets everyone in the kitchen involved. These videos are addictive!!!!
Daddy Jack, just got done viewing every video you have presented. Sucks that your not around anymore. You're detailed recipes are top shelf. Love that you love all kinds of peeps. A fellow Rhode Islander. RIP my man!!!
Jack, you’re a solid friend. You give me a laugh when you asked Rob, ‘Hey Rob, do you want this in a bowl or plate?” If I was Rob, I’d eat it off of a stick! God bless Rob, 150 times he’s eaten your chicken Alfredo! He must be some master electrician to eat “that burnt garlic”! 😊
I cannot believe he has passed but has taught us many tricks and the making of tasty food. Our dinner tonight was a nod to his caring, friendliness and good soul. Rest In Peace. We will all miss you even if we never met in person.
Thank you chef daddy Jack for the videos of your classic dishes. Truly enjoy your kindness hope I can make to Daddy Jacks soon thanks again Jerry D. From western Massachusetts.
I really love visiting your restaurant on video. I know, much better in person, but your cooking, conversation, teaching, I think you are the best Chef.
I love the comment adjust your TV LMAO !! Every time I watch one of your videos I feel like ive known you as a friend. Thats the type of man you were and still are. Rest In Peace
Ive learned how to cook so much better from watching your videos Jack. The country gravy was something I screwed up so many times but you made it easy. My gravy is excellent now. Keep up the great vids my friend. Wife and I watch them religiously. Take care Jack Keith from Naples
Daddy Jack - My goal is to take a vacation in the New England area, particularly New London, CT. I hope when I visit your restaurant, you will be in the kitchen - doing your culinary magic. You are an amazing person, have a heart of gold, and are a culinary genius. Love from Utah!!
A real great guy and a big loss to everyone. I sent him an email and he actually replied so that tells you something about the man. All respect and best wishes to his daughters - you could tell he was a proud DAD; as he always mentioned them. And if you daughters read this you are welcome in Scotland anytime as I said to your dad and he did say he would visit me. I am no cook or chef but Jack made it LOOK POSSIBLE !!!!! Best Wishes Khaleel
Classic Daddy Jack episode. Responding to comments about burning the garlic and what his gas bill might be assuming he's wasting it. Then ends giving props to local tradesmen that help keep his business alive. Truly a beautiful man that is missed by all
These videos are great reminds me of working in kitchens a a young dishwasher/prep cook at country clubs. No these may not be traditional recipes but you know that's food was damn good. Cheers to these old school chefs. R.I.P. Daddy Jack
Wow, what a great looking meal. Slammed it out in real time in no time. Can imagine the masses that Daddy Jacks has and is feeding out of his great Restaurant.
