This is EGGSciting! We're back at the coop 3 month after the last video and 6 months since the Leghorn chicks were born. They've grown quite a bit!
In this video you'll see what we're doing the same and what we've changed for the winter including switching over to the layering method. We've phased out the chick starter food and added some calcium grit.
The Leghorn chickens also start producing their very first eggs, right on time! I'm hoping to have a full collEGGtion of them by the end of the video. (OK, I'll stop that now.)
We used some training eggs to get them to lay them in the designated boxes and they worked very well! The chickens now lay 100% in the boxes. These things are great and I'm not EGGSaggerating! (sorry) Get some training eggs for yourself at Amazon: www.amazon.com...
