We raised Chukkars for a while back in the early 90s , they are a small game bird that taste awesome, a litter bigger than quail.

We didn’t have a clue what we were doing and had great success with them. We had a neighbor that did bird hunts so we just raised them for sale. Bigger chicks to deal with than quail so I think they are easier. Plus they do a little dance when you walk up, lol. We raised Red Golden Pheasants at the same time and they are an awesome bird, easy to hatch and sell well. That was back when we were in our 30s and now in our 70s.

Marie, I have been a subscriber since I saw you with the Eddy Family Farm. I just need to start commenting more. It cracked me up when you mentioned the Labyrinth, you were thinking of the Goblin King. I now have the song "You remind me of a babe). It will be there still in the morning. I raised my girls on that movie. I am afraid to admit the "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Please don't judge me, from what I have seen of you from your videos, I don't think you will. Omg Marie I couldn't go to one of those. I told myself I was stopping at my limit of 12 chickens ughh some how I have 16 hens 4 roos and 32 babies I just hatch ouch and I can't seem to want to get rid of any lol. 😂 I just bought a Splash Americana for myself there stunning and so big. You look like you had a fun day

Deathlayer hens will lay (approximately) an egg a day until she dies. This is phenomenal considering, in most chicken breeds, a good laying hen will lay eggs consistently for about 3 to 4 years. After that, she will lay fewer and fewer eggs each year until they stop laying completely.
