Chicken Nothing!? 

Hi everyone mishiemoo conquer allllllllllll here. This was my first community game thought i'd give some perspective as 758 elo newbie that spends 90% of their AoE time offline 2:16 - It might be explored, but all I can "see" is what's on my screen (if you get my drift). Didn't look at the mini-map at all, just saw pilgrim start so went early TC and fish 3:17 - Mishiemoo is my mums dog btw. She conquer alllllllllllllllllllllllll 8:00 - This is the only build order I know lol. But I had to neglect diplo to pull it off. Actually my girlfriend complains to me about my lack of chat 11:15 - I don't think this far ahead. In fact, I think about 45 seconds behind 12:49 - Orange proposes an alliance that I accept. I'm thinking this will be a long game so we want to avoid any early warfare, as that would just result in a lose - lose situation. 13:18 - thanks orange 20:22 - This is legitimately my first time using fish traps 21:48 - At this point I'm just panic doing eco stuff, cos eco is the easiest thing to forget. Also it dawns on me - what do the Celts do again ? Girlfriend can you google me a strategy or something? Anyway I literally would have gone all-in on attacking anyone orange asked me to. Kinda hoping they'd take the lead here 22:19 - I actually wanted to try set up naval trade but never got around to it 23:51 - I still haven't looked at the mini map 26:26 - "Yeah cow, mooo, very happ" 26:32 - So AoE2 is her favourite game, so I have to play by her rules obviously. She is too scared to play online though. 27:28 - My online games don't normally last this long. Salmon is delicious. 28:35 - Okay sure long term ally teal 29:40 - You kinda miss it, I thought I had to transport over that water. DID NOT REALIZE WAS SHALLOWS. You can see the transport with someone inside it. 30:32 - Thanks Orange. Lose lose betray me. Too bad I have no idea what I'm doing. What is this age 31:19 - Things I don't know 32:20 - Still don't know what to make 38:09 - I'm actually on water here at the top of the screen just exerting a little pressure on orange 39:08 - I am badly fighting orange 39:30 - See I found this a really weird comment at the time. Because water WAS the only place I could fight orange. I obviously didn't know how to go any land lol 39:38 - Also I don't know what to do with this. But it does mean I trust teal 44:33 - I legit have no idea what is happening until this moment 45:26 - BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA 50:06 - So there's an exchange between purp and myself here. I'm trying to send an army off....somewhere....you know try not lose the game. Thing is, I ask "is that relics" because I have no idea where the teal wonder is. I assume because I can't find a wonder in teals initial base area, he might be winning a relic victory ? My girlfriend and I legit spent like 5 minutes in game looking for where the wonders were. Also I could have sworn team victory the second number in your score averages out your team score. But since I'd already shown myself to be so nooby I didn't actually send anymore messages to purp. 52:32 - Again, I don't know what to build as Celts lol. I actually know I can't build siege onagers, they are too hard for me to aim/control. I'm just not that good. 56:46 - So I'm trying to go attack blue here actually. My army starts auto attacking orange cos its in range. So I start moving past Orange not expecting him to hit me because y'know, we need to take out teal. But he decides killing me is more important I guess. Like if I wanted to take out orange, why would I go around the base lol. But yeah everything goes on auto mode.

Amazing 😂 also I think the “mor chikin” spelling is a reference to those Chic-Fil-A ads where the cows are holding up signs that say “eat mor chikin”, and I think that’s why there are cows on the map too

So it's an X Nothing map but there is no abundance of Xs. I had expected at least a screen full of turkeys (closest thing to chicken in AOE2).

That was a great chicken story and game too! Sir Explosive Hopper played like a genius here, building that wonder, hiding that king, enemying at last moment, very well done. Gg wp!

The mom joke was so out of character, it had me laughing hard.

Dude, I've been watching your videos for about two years. Even when I haven't played AOE2 that much I still come in and watch every once in a while and get in the mood of playing again. You're one of the most consistent and entertaining AOE2 content creators and you bring a lot of traffic to this old yet awesome game. That ending was so obvious. Purple and Gray were always gonna get played by Explosive Hopper. You don't ally with such a legendary player under any circumstances. Only for pretense. Blue, Red and Orange should've teamed up with Green towards the end there. Green was the only player with a noteworthy army within range of Hopper's navy. The fighting between Orange and Green killed the chances of the northern team to win. At least blue and red survived the game. Also the moment Hopper told Green to delete his navy and go full land assault, it was pretty much obvious he was gonna go for a corner wonder. Great bit of misdirection. Blue and Red didn't really make any noteworthy mistakes this game, but Hopper is so good at playing "allies" for fools and using them to do his bidding for him that he got basically a free victory here. The fact that nobody really knows how allied victory works should tell you that it never happens. The player trying to sell it to their "allies" is always just using it as bait. Allied Victory should be renamed to "Empty Promise".

I normally don't skip ahead videos but seeing as this had Hopper, Yet again, I just decided to see who won. Not really a surprise to see who it was, Again.

AFAIK, "Eat Mor Chikin" is from an old Chick-fil-A suberbowl commercial, which is more likely the reason for the spelling than a lack of space 😅. Three cows parachute into the stadium and on the three parachutes left behind, they spell out: "EAT" "MOR" "CHIKIN" . And a long-standing commercial campaign since then.

Sir Explosive Hopper is possibly the best Regicide Diplo player ever.

It would be cool if they added queens and princes / princesses to the game for Regicide, so you had to kill the whole royal family of a player instead of just one king. You could spread them out among your kingdom to be more safe. And whenever the king and queen die, a prince or princess would be promoted.

1:05 T90 (and everyone else), this is a reference to Gary Larson (comic strips author, the most known of his kind besides Pizarro in the world) :D (this is old stuff btw, before internet) One of his memes ("meme" didn't exist as a concept at least not in that word) was Cows (often in the fields) occasionally holding a protest sign saying _"EaT mOR ChiKiN"_ 😁😁 I mean there's also the chance it's coincidental but there you go. Preemptive edit: Well I'll be darned I'm wrong. Gary Larson just features cows a lot in general. "Eat mor chikin" is from an (/a real) advertising board in USA ^^ Back in 1993 or something (3 cows having posters/boards having from their neck, one for each word)

Having to depend on the word of Explosive Hopper made it so his allies should have turned on him, no doubt. Not doing it was basically enabling his victory and praying he was kind enough to bring them along on a victory. If he didn't, he'd lose nothing. If he did, he'd gain nothing and, one could argue, lose a bit of standing. It's a no-brainer from Hopper's perspective and it should have been a no-brainer for his allies to turn on him. Props to Explosive Hopper for finding gullible, steadfast, allies.

Wow, I thought teal was very vulnerable in the corner from range of water, but no one else had any docks and then teal just exploded with overwhelming water control. He became untouchable. Still weird they didn't team up to even try to stop him though

This map is quite surprisingly well balanced. Multiple designated TC locations. Each location has pros and cons well scaled.

Once again after four videos with him, why anyone trust hopper at this point is unreal.

I think the left is the grain that the chicken eats and the brown rivers near the butt of the chicken are feathers. the illustration is better on the minimap thna on the zoomed out map. Anyway nice map, and I like the wonder victory to force player to be more reactive in community games. they need to get used to react faster and stronger (and more coordinated) to wonder construction if they want to win. It speeds up the pace of the game that becomes just too slow in the late game without it.

This might get buried, but who else thinks Team Victory and Wonder should not be enabled at the same time in community games? It made an exciting game into a really boring finish. Would've loved to see more kings actually go down rather than half the players turtle up and have 4 win the game.

For some reason I was expecting there to be a custom chicken anim asset, where there's chicken pens and the odd stray chickens and they react like wolves do Except, they're chickens. 2 dmg per to villagers. 1 dmg to all other units Hmm... maybe a They Are Billions style map, but instead of zombies it's packs of wolves Be funnier with chickens that behave like wolves tho
