We use chicken nipple waterers with our chicks in the coop. Nipple waterers keep the chicks water dry clean, and poop free!
But nipple waterers can drip, causing a messy coop! In todays video we show you how to keep cleaner coops!
We use a system of chicken nipple waterers, hung above roller painting trays, so water that drips from the waterers is caught, and easily removed from the coop.
This keep the coop dry, saving you time cleaning gross, smelly coops and saving you money on new shavings.

Found you via SSF. Just got chicks last weekend. I'll definitely be doing this when they move to the coop. They are very messy with their water in the brooder.

What a great idea! One of the worst things about raising chickens is the disgusting poop water and the stench.

They paint tray is an excellent was to keep the coop dry. Inexpensive and fast to install. The chicks will have less health problem will a dry floor. Great tip, and I love it. I will have to remember this the next time I raise baby chicks.

I am glad the nipple waters work for you. I don't care for them. They don't work for me in the winter time. I have 2 coops and they nipple water is a summer source of water for my chickens, but for my layers, I noticed egg production went down with them. So I use 2 sources of water.

Good idea another thing with those paint trays is to put it in the nest boxes and insert a thin carpet and it makes a roll out egg catcher.

Great video... the wireless camera is great but there is one concern with it and that is RF radiation.

I dont have video on my chicks but a remote thermometer by accurite ($15) which doesn't need power or wifi works for us. Hope you will start food consumption rates soon...
