I find that tomato cages work great for large pepper plants. The best support I've tried for tomatoes is the cattle panel. It works great! Thanks for sharing your beautiful, lush garden and homesteading experience ! I'm loving your videos!

We stake in at the end of each row with a t post and run baling string in from one end to the other back crest crossing around each plant and pole it’s been a life saver in holding up tomatoes plants They reach up to 6-7 feet tall.just a helpful tip for next year.
We had a monsoon summer last year and the water just about washed away our garden, including our tomatoes. So this year we used metal fence posts to tie them up to. It's working so far.
They are a yellow finch. They eat massive amounts of black oil sunflower seeds. We keep bird feeders for them, however, if the feeders run out.....the sunflowers are next.
Hey Andy, I use cattle panels & a couple t posts for tomato trellises. You can use your cotton twine or hay twine or whatever to tie them up to it. For indeterminates , I will even use 8’ t posts and just raise the panel up a foot or so up off the ground for extra height.

I like the brandywine tomatoes too, this year I tried empire tomatoes, they're really good producers, disease resistant, and mature early. Have you heard of them? One of the business concepts is don't look at sunk cost to keep you locked into a certain plan, like keeping the huge chicken wagon. Pivot to having one then two and so on as you can build and need the smaller J Rhoads/etc style coops. There are quite a few new improvements on those smaller moving coops by other channels. I like the A-frame ones with tarp roofs and flip down wheels plus chicken bumpers inside and externally accessed nesting boxes. Take a look. You can get a couple weeks of content on building and testing.

I figure by the end of this summer us city folk will be going without eggs, the supply will be sparce. Same for buying chicken that is real and clean. God will give you wisdom on just what you should plan out for your flock. I can only dream of what one of those would look like and taste like. Yum yum yum.😊

Can you put weed fabric( which hopefully wont kill the grass because of air flow) or a tarp ( which probably will kill the grass lol) underneath. Those things should last a long while to catch the mature.
I run a Florida weave on my 2 100' rows and it has served me well. I work at a steel mill and use rebar for my post. But I also grow the maters and just let them lay on the ground in another area. But do know what you mean about those cages. Take care
Could you use a small tarp and when you move the coop, pick up the tarp to collect the droppings?? Maybe use a large trash can to transport it to where you need it, or a tractor.
This is probably not the correct video to add this comment to, but the apple tree you lost suddenly was probably due to a vole eating the tap root to build a home underneath. I has the same happen with a gopher.
Is there enough room under the floor of the chicken mobile and the ground to build a sort of shelf the length and width of the mobile while still giving the chickens enough room to hide under from hawks. I was wondering if you could collect the poop on a tarp set on the shelf you create. Every day or two (depending on how often and how much the chickens poop) you could slide the tarp out and add the collection to your compost pile.
