The interim Memphis Police chief and Mayor Paul Young gave a public statement Friday, April 12, in front of Regional One Health, confirming the death of one officer.
I'm sorry but that's not the answer..the answer is you getting saved you brining people to church.First you get saved then the change has become because if we not totally committed to Jesus then we're just as worse off than these criminals we crucify.
@@alt777-in9lw I take it you meant lock them up first for what they have done then minister ..Ok if they supposed to be locked up and have warrants that's different but at the same time we who believe in Christ and live by his words we don't wait!!!!We go out to the streets and minister to the streets and unsaved .. See thats the promblems to many talkers for we preach to all the bible tells us plainly to go out it never said wait until they come to you .. But you never wait you go out and preach and minister
First off idk what people think "bond" is but its not a miracle drug. Its a payment. Second prisons are over crowded across the country with mostly people of color. so who thinks criminals are victims and Victims of what? Poverty? Systemic racism? Unequal treatment in the justice system starting with local law enforcement who slap you with a felony before you even know what a felony means. That same felony that bars you from most employment. Please explain these remedial carbon copy comments.
@@mypersonalopinion5363 They could have held this little criminal until his first trial but instead Ingram let him out on his own reconnaissance. Quit being ignorant just because it’s a members of ur community both committing and abetting murder.
@@radicalmoderate2730still not the answer..You are the answer..Give your life to God and get saved and bring sinner to church to get saved..it starts with you because you can't judge the murderer unless you redeem yourself with the Lord..we all must turn from our sins ..
@@dennisjames7343 how are you going to get a sinner to church if all they know is evil? We can’t make anyone do anything they don’t want. I understand where you’re coming from because I have been saved, but all we can do is pray for them.
You sound like you look. Irrelevant. She has nothing to do with the amount of guns on the streets in a pro gun state. She has nothing to do with the gun violence and why people choose the street life. She has nothing to do with poverty in certain communities.
She goes to work everyday to keep this city safe. It’s not her fault the arrests made and the efforts that go into making those arrests end with criminals back in the street. She just said the 18 year old shooter was arrested last month. He was turned over and let off without bail! After this, can you imagine any officer wanting to continue putting their lives at risk to make arrests of criminals only to see them back on the street serving no time and continuing to put everyone’s lives in danger.
It wasn't their firearm. The mom of that other story should not have been stupid enough to say that she would not change anything.😮That was privilege dumbness.
@@robertlange5587 some parents can do the best they can and beyond. Be successful (no poverty) be an active parent, put their kids in the best schools etc and a child, young adult, adult can and will still make their own decisions. Good or bad. Plenty of examples out there how daughters decide to sell themselves, sons get on drugs or become mass sh**ters. Unless they gave them the weapon, you can't blame the parents. Makes no sense. Thats saying you agree with putting ah innocent person in jail.
Whats the relation? No matter who you vote for they have no control over people making choices to go left or right in the streets. No matter who you vote for they can't give out life sentences for any and every crime. No matter who you vote for Tennessee will still be a pro gun state. Damn these comments be so remedial.
I really don't see how they can be blamed instead of the local government who set the local laws. It's the local prosecutor and judges that you need to vote out and to blame for this. Blaming the federal government for local issues is ignorant.
Kids need fathers in the house. This is the root issue behind increasing gun violence. Fathers not in the house isn't only a Memphis community problem it's an entire USA one unfortunately! Mothers don't understand the importance of fathers because their mothers didn't understand it; and this mindset is entering into a third generation of no fathers in the house unless someone breaks the cycle... What do fathers bring to a relationship? Fathers are the "muscle", the leaders.. The thoughtfulness and care fathers bring in a two parent household is unmatched but it's overlooked by Child Support who locks fathers up after GOD restricts a man's ability to provide the high payments any longer, and Child Custody courts take children away from fathers 90% of the time after a divorce. Local states support divorce more than they support marriage because divorce brings in more money. What is the cost to citizens in these states? Lost kids, kids robbing, killing in the streets to survive. Kids in the streets because court granted state bested single moms can't deal with kids once they become teens.. Single moms are working and looking for another relationship so the kids feel the neglect and run to their peers for attention, but their peers don't know why... I could say this in a more tactful and nicer way, but nice don't always get actual work done.. My condolences to the families who lost loved ones in that situation..
Agreed, but Single moms need to stop leaving their kids then and looking for relationships that lead to more kids without fathers. Stop looking for a man to solve all your problems and finish your education or further your career, or just spend more time building up and teaching your child. Then the right man can come into your life. There are plenty of opportunities for single moms to have their children around men who will mentor in a positive way. This will happen at church, Boy Scouts, a sports team. Nothing good is going to come from going to the club for a single mom.
no Court let crime went up you know why?? The court let young teens out of jail without bond still doing again still repeatedly kill somebody. Thanks to Judge Brain Anderson is one let him out of jail without bond last month lead up to this.

Where is the outrage from BLM, Colin Kaepernick, Shaun King, Patrick Mahomes, AOC, CNN, Roland Martin, MSNBC, MSM, Lebron, NBA, WNBA, NFL, Shannon Sharpe, Biden, Kamala Harris, Frances Tifoe, Ben Crump, Al Sharpton, Steve Kerr, Stephen Curry, Greg Popovich, NAACP, Nancy Pelosi, Chuckie, Democrats, The View, Lewis Hamilton, Bubba Wallace, Don Lemon, Joy Reid, Obama, Michelle Obama, The Young Turks, Taylor Swift, Megan R., Travis Kelce, Beyonce, Oprah, Tom Hanks. Jay-Z, Hawk Newsome, The Black Panthers and Brittney Griner at for the suspect? I thought those people who I mentioned care about all black people from all over the world no matter and no matter where they are from especially the criminals, predators and etc?
My husband (retired MPD) and I fled Memphis finally. Memphis is a horrible (I can’t say my real feelings in the words I want to use) city that will never change. I’m so glad we got out of there. 🙏🏻 for this Officer’s family.
My best freind is from.Frazier homes in North Memphis and he said he is so damn happy he moved his family away from there, his family is still all there and I've been to visit, it's cutthroat and grimy but also some great people as well it's sad how the violence continues to pleg the city and since they killed young Dolph it's been crazier than usual. Combine the gangs, heat, drugs, alcohol, and it being one of the poorest places it's never gonna get better. I'm from Flint Michigan and it's similar in many ways, I'm glad I left there too or ide be dead or in prison, no hope, opportunities, jobs and bad government with tons of crime. All we can do is be thankful we got out and pray for those who are stuck there and can't move like us.
Remember: Cops don’t get killed when the Police Chief is a white male. When the department is run by white males the department is perfect and all the cops are perfect. Let’s continue to diversify our police, fire departments and all ranks of government throughout this country. Leadership is not exclusive to white people. So fcuk you johndoe. Make sure you wipe your asss clean of the streak mark. I know your mom is tired of scrubbing your drawers.😊
The local & federal judicial system is failing across the board these young criminals are laughing because they are not being held accountable for their actions especially repeat offenders.
I'm convinced these speakers consider the media and local politicians as the ONLY members of their community whom they're speaking to. If a leader cannot ascribe accountability to the people that committed the act, NOT THING, then what good are they to be in charge? A gun doesn't have the mental capacity to make a decision. They should know that considering all the officers up there have a gun around their waist. Guns don't make decisions, people do. And then to apologize to the suspects family is a slap in the face to the officers family. Make it make sense.
Psalms Chapter 23 1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. 6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
It's not gun violence my dear and you know why I feel sorry for this lady does she really believe that does care for her job not like some of the other bold pains in the ass women she does care about the community but only the fact is that is her own people destroying each other
@4:09, "heartbroken of the lives lost". This is the second person I heard who's all upset an 18 year old thug has been killed, and his death is as terrible as the cop who he shot.
The community needs to step up. This is what you do: All parents for one hour every day without fail turn off the TV, take away the phone, and have your kids read and do math. Do this from age three to when they finish high school. Be a good parent, not a lazy one.
The system really sucks. If the courts did their job right, this officer would still be alive today. Why was he not put in prison in March of 2024. Because the system sucks. With all this happening what is Joe Biden doing nothing at all. We all need to stand strong and support our lawinforsment officers ever day. I am 74 years old and growing up this never happened at all. Prayers go out to the officers wife and family and friends. God bless 🙏🙌🙏
She wants to "make an appeal to the community, that gun violence has to stop" and the mayor reiterated it... Hard to think of a more weak-willed, limp-wristed, response...it's almost encouraging more violence.
Deepest condolences to the family of the fallen officer Joseph McKinney! Prayers also for the the second and 3rd officer shot for a speedy recovery, also prayers for all the fellow first responders, and community!!❤🙏
What happened is tragic, and a officer lost his life. Who sold the glock swithch to modify the weapon. Are they going to be also held accountable criminally.
"Community action"? Give these young men and women something better to do with their time other than being poor. We need trade schools like construction and welding. Help them the same way you're helping the illegal immigrants. This is all from a lack of resources and the will to do right by the people. Pressure burst pipes.
Wait a minute. There is help in Memphis. People don't want it. I got my CNA license through a government-funded program, graduated from the U of M (first-generation graduate), moved out of town, became a teacher, and I'm in my last semester of nursing school. Pulling yourself up by the bootstraps is possible; you need the motivation and drive to want better for yourself. I learned about the CNA program while waiting to be seen at the Department of Human Services. My OPINION is that black lower-income communities value the pimp, hustler, drug dealer, whore, and celebrity more than education and community. We have to stop lying to ourselves and blaming other groups of people for our shortcomings.
Time and time again we hear what everyone wants for their community and city when comes to crime. The reality of this is the problem isn't going change. lt choices that one's make determine how and what they become. Unfortunately in this situation many don't won't to change their lives. For instance with our youth some will change through mentoring program others will die in the street. The fact of matter is you can't rescue or save everyone.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - What community members and leaders are calling a tragedy after 4 people were killed and 3 others injured in shootings since Friday. It is a trend those in the community do not want to see as we are in the first month of the year.Memphis ended 2023 with 398 homicides, nearing 400. Homicides and murders in Memphis are already exceeding the pace of last year. HERE'S THE PROBLEM!
