If you couldn’t tell that he was intelligent in 2012/2013 you probably weren’t really listening to his music. The way he picked instrumentals, his lyricism, the way he carried himself was totally different than a lot of musicians. You could tell he was super smart a long time ago. A LOT of these rappers are super smart, they’re just applying that intelligence towards something the average person knows nothing about and doesn’t understand.
