"Chief Minnie Hollow Wood" is a Lakota woman, who earned the right to wear a war bonnet, because, of her valor in combat against the U.S. Cavalry, at 'The Battle Of Little Big Horn'. At one time, she was the only woman in her tribe who was entitled to wear a war bonnet. Minnie Hollow Wood was born into this world at some point in 1856 and she crossed-over, one last time to the Spirit world, sometime, in the 1930's. Her husband, Hollow Wood, is a Cheyenne man, who also fought at 'The Battle Of Little Big Horn'. Chief Minnie Hollow Wood was in her 20’s when she resisted the U.S. Cavalry and fought courageously amongst her people to protect their homeland. She didn’t cower in the face of danger. She risked her life to save her land and community.
