Hi Chief! Wonderful to see your happy face first thing! It's 7 am here on the east coast! Ren has a new song dropping on Thursday! Called Money Ties. This is the one delayed by his relapse. He finally posted in person on Instagram and Facebook yesterday. He's still struggling. He lost vision in one eye for 3 days and they found chronic nerve inflamation damage going down his spine. He looked tired but wonderful to see. I just love watching him and the boys in tbe band! Thanks for reacting to them. Regarding requests, The Big Push does What Kind of Woman Is This. Tribute to Buddy Guy, Jimi Hendrix and Muddy Waters! They rock it and everyone sings!

Surprised this is your first venture into the Big Push - get down that rabbit hole please ! As with Ren's catalogue, there is not one bad song, video or performance. They are just 4 mates (who all happen to be super talented) just playing music for the love of the music. The joy and happiness they are having emanates out and is so infectious. Important to add that their original songs are just as good as their covers. If ever you are having a bad day, a Big Push song will lift your spirits.

Every single member is so talented. And aside from the drummer, they all sing, have solo careers, and switch roles depending on the song. But the real magic of The Big Push is that it’s foremost a group of friends that bonded over a shared love for music and they’re just sharing the fun they’re having with the rest of us. People not there because thry paid for a ticket, but just on their way somewhere else and just HAVE to stop and listen and dance! And hopefully put dome money in the pot. Thid band has honed their synergy to perfection over quite a few years. Can't you just see this set going off with a massive crowd in an arena?! Sadly, they've broken up & off doing Solo works,- with Ren's previous departure to Canada for treatment. But with Rens rise also raising the profile of The Big Push beyond their original stamping ground, I gather mostly around Brighton, there's a lot of interest in the band getting back together in some form. Ren says the band members are open to this, so here's hoping, but with Rens' latest health setback, the priority now is for his recovery. Musical projects are a distant 2nd.

So, I think this for all things Ren, but it's really hard to go wrong with The Big Push. I'd be happy to see you react to any of their stuff or them as solo artists. There's a band that Ren suggested that I think you'd like. UK Independent, The Skinner Brothers. Death From Above would be as fine a starting point as any, if you're so inclined!
