The 2024 NFL Draft is officially over and the Kansas City Chiefs drafted 7 players in the NFL Draft. Kansas City Chiefs Report host Jace Andrews breaks down each of the Chiefs draft picks and gives you his final NFL draft grades for the Chiefs. The Chiefs headline draft picks were Texas WR Xavier Worthy and BYU OT Kingsley Suamataia in Rounds 1 and 2, while also adding Jared Wiley in Round 4. Chiefs GM Brett Veach and head coach Andy Reid had a GREAT 2024 NFL Draft!

Chiefs draft needs included WR, OT, and CB and all of those positions were addressed by GM Brett Veach. Xavier Worthy was the Chiefs 1st round pick and should have a chance to start as a rookie. Brett Veach was able to add some protection for Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes by trading up once again and drafting Kingsley Suamataia in Round 2. KC added TE Jared Wileyin the 4th round before the Chiefs added Jaden Hicks, Hunter Nourzad, Kamal Hadden, and C.J. Hanson on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft.

In my opinion, NO WAY we let Creed walk. If anything, it comes down to picking between Trey and Creed, and I think KC picks Creed. The Nourzad pick is more to fill in the Allegretti role, and maybe even take over the RG spot if we lose Trey. I highly doubt we lose Creed.

I don't think Chiefs are planning to replace Creed with Hunter. They may be planning to use him as a Guard and potentially replacing Thuney if he retires after his contract is up and if Hunter plays well.

I'd rank the draft grade as a B. I thought that we'd have addressed depth on the defensive line and the running back room. Does this mean that the Chief's will resign CEH or Mckinnon???

Creed will be the Center for the Chiefs for a long time. Hunter is is the Allergetti replacement. Can play C or guard.

Not sure if Xavier Worty is worth it (see what I did there). But in all seriousness speed isn't everything. Puka Nacua was the best WR last season and was picked at 177th, he wasn't the fastest, the jumpiest, etc but he was the best Rookie WR last season.

Everyone talks about contested catches. Let's be honest: apart from throws to Kelce, how often does Mahomes throw a 50-50 ball? Also, I think San Francisco takes Worthy at 31 if we do not trade up. So, glad we got our guy.

I don't think they are planning on Creed going anywhere. The draft pick is versatile, he can play tackle and guard as well as his primary roll at center. I think this is a smart draft pick, think Alegretti kinda of lineman.

A ... The Chiefs filled their needs with quality players, stuck to their board, and did not have to reach for anyone. Considering they were picking at the end of each round (before the trades) and the number of picks they had, they did about as well as any team in the league. Not sure Morris or Suamataia are ready to start this season for a Chiefs team looking to 3-peat so I would still like to see them resign Donovan Smith to a one year deal.

Nourzad was a violent player as well. Interesting upside given his cognitive ability. Flexible player, doesn’t mean Creed is gone. It’s like a Trey Smith replacement as well though if you are going there.

I try to like this channel. I just struggle with how you view things. Worthy was the #1 WR in the draft for Reid’s system. We basically just moved back in our picks and considering BUF was clearly wanting to trade out of that pick it wasn’t worth the risk for what we gave up. So I go an A for it and unlike you I go off of Reid’s system. Reid’s type of WR. On top of him being a 1st round talent. Undersized but yet played for Texas and rarely was injured while playing against NFL ready talent. Also Thuney will be gone after this year which means we pay Creed and move Downey to G and backup C. I give you D for this. Also stop talking like we’re stupid fans. I hated the way you talked about Sneed. We all knew he was gone. Didn’t need you to act like we didn’t understand the process in the NFL
