If rings make you the GOAT, then why is Jordan with his 6 considered the GOAT over Bill Russell with his 11? Because it's the personal talent. Jordan was much better than Bill was. Same goes for Mahomes. Talentwise, Mahomes is better than Brady. I say that as a Michigan fan since 81 and a Chiefs fan since 76. I love them both. But Patrick is a couple of rungs up the ladder on Brady when it comes to individual talent.

@@dsj6677 Ring count isn't the end all be all of that discussion. If that was true then Bill Russel's 11 rings in the NBA puts both Jordan and James down but we don't consider Russel the NBA goat. Mahomes isn't there yet but at 4 (with the 3-peat, otherwise 5) the ring's part of the argument is over. Ring count has always been and will always be a team stat. The difference in the Mahomes-Brady thing is stats. And at this point in their careers Mahomes claims all of the stat lines in his column while matching Brady in team and individual accolades.

My dad was a huge Montana fan and watched Tom Brady surpass the goat with his own eyes. Watched Brady's whole career. Now I see Brady as the goat but I'm watching pattys whole career and feel like him and Andy Reid are about to become the goats. I just don't see any other competition in the NFL for them.

The odds of flipping a coin and getting heads 3 times in a row are 12.5%. But once you've already gotten heads twice, the odds of getting heads one more time are 50%. The coin doesn't remember the first two outcomes, and its just like any other coin flip. At the beginning of the season, I would never pick a team over the field to win the Super Bowl, but the Chiefs are the favorite. The fact that they are coming off 2 in a row doesn't magically decrease their chances.

Here is the thing, mahomes and chiefs went against teams loading up to stop chiefs. And we broke them. All the afc west teams got so many pass rushers.. got young players on offense.. west was loaded.. we went thru it.. bills went all in to stop us.. we shut them down.. it’s all about coaching…. Having Reid.. mastermind on offense.. then we picked up spags.. the defense is way better.. we talk 3-7th rounders and undrafted guys and turn them into good serviceable guys. 😊

Don't worry the Chiefs if nothing arises then they will take a small slight and make a mountain out of it and use it to fuel them to victory. It worked for Jordan it can work for Mahomes. We've seen Petty Pat come out a few times - like when he counted to 10 playing the bears for the first time or when he blew out a team lead by a guy who had been ranked as a better player than him and Mahomes counted to where he'd been ranked.

Tf are we talking about they gave up 35 points in the other one. And as far as offense goes, the offense goes nowhere in any of those games if Mahomes isn’t the quarterback. You can say he got lucky with the punt return bs but he was still down at the end of the game, and he lead a drive all the way to the end zone. It doesnt make sense to answer that question right now. there are so many month ahead. every snap some pass rusher could mess up mahomes achilles, or ankle or whatever. every snap kelce could break an arm or whatever. so is so much time and so many chances for injuries and mistakes etc. once the play offs start we can look at what teams are in the game and what players are at their disposal

He asked why the other teams in the division are terrible when these dynasties emerge. The answer is, the other teams consistently rebuild trying to defeat the juggernaut in the division. They keep changing coaches, offensive and defensive schemes, and pay too much in free agency. The dynasty teams build through the draft, develop talent, and have a franchise quarterback that doesn’t break the bank. Then every off-season they can sprinkle in 3 to 5 free agents and the team builds around their talent. Teams, like any good business, take time to develop. You can’t hire a CEO and make a failing company a success overnight. The balance sheet tells the story. In the NFL, you are your record.

if your hard and dominate in your sport...the goal is to surpass the current goat along with good consistent play from your teammates too. a season starts every year but who will dominate in the playoffs at the end where it counts to get that ring???? if you and your team are those guys .....then you execute and finish the deal.

Only thing against them, just the shear odds of it all, odds are hard to beat... On top of the other major issue, health. If they can make it past those 2 things, they have the top head coach, top dc, gamers on defense, gamers on offense, and last but not least, Patrick Lavon Mahomes II He's the complete QB prototype, the physical and mental side of it needed to win. You can't have just one or the other, you have to possess both. Records are made to be broken, and mountains are there to be climbed. The Chiefs may just finally be "That Team" to get it done.

Can we "expect" the Chiefs to Three-peat? No. Can they do it? Yes Two totally different questions. All those people saying Mahomes doesn't have the drive and focus that Brady did are fooling themselves. He knows exactly what he wants and he will go after it. He's also pretty good at getting his teammates on board...if they aren't just completely screwing everything up. I, for one, am looking forward to that effort.
