BASIC CHIFFON CAKE RECIPE... A Chiffon Cake is a type of foam cake leavened primarily with eggwhites. The cake uses the whole egg separately, the eggyolks is mixed directly to the batter while the eggwhites is beaten up to an stiff peak form consistency before combining it with the batter. This recipe is a fluffy, jiggly, yet moist inside Chiffon Cake. Try this!
Ingredients:
2 1/4 cup cake flour
1 cup sugar
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp fine salt
6 eggyolks
1/2 cup canola oil
3/4 cup water
2 tsp vanilla extract
eggwhites from 6 large eggs
1/2 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup sugar
