Great rundown Lachlan. A fair number of reviewers never really spend time on the budget stuff, but I like that you, HBB and Gizaudio always do! Thanks for a great video and the thoughtfulness that went in to it
Thanks for lending your ear to some budget reviews. I have the Chus, and if the Aria Snow is anywhere near 4 times as good as price would imply that’s one hell of an upgrade to look forward to.
I don't know the Chus, but the Snows are excellent. Before you rush out and buy though, wait for a little while because I've got another ChiFi IEM roundup coming and some of the options are really nice for just $20 more than the Snow.
Awesome comparo as always! I bought the 7hz Salnotes Zero ($20). They're Excellent in terms of Value. Very neutral to my ears except for the recessed mids and maybe a slight subbass lift. What surprised me was the extension on both ends without any emphasis or harshness. I definitely enjoy the E3000 more but the Zeros are a really good pair for those looking for a (close to) neutral set, if you can live with the slightly metallic timbre and recessed mids. The sub $50 tier is giving the $50-100 a good run for the money, IMO. Cheers.
@@PassionforSound, Emperor Taizong was China’s second emperor of the Tang Dynasty. His real name was Li Shimin. His rule was a “golden” era, they enjoyed strong economy, trades were vibrant and military was strong.
Agree but 99% of hifi revieers have no experiemce in producing/mixing/mastering music or acoustic engineering. 1. SSR is affordable and thus, a lower barrier to entry for new beginners to the hobby. 2. Lightweight, durable and extremely comfortable. 3. Fantastic detachable cable. 4. Diffused/neutral frequency response. 5. Reasonably natural tonal balamce with forward midrange, detailed high frequencies. 5. Strong technical performance of speed/transient attack, release and decay. A very wide soundstage. Numero uno for me!
Unless they perform really well and are better value for someone operating in this budget range. Also, I have to work with what I have here at the time.
